Awesome finds on the shrooms S&G. Very nice deadhead TOO. He had nice bases and spread. Sucks ass to find any dead buck though. Congrats on the shed TOO.

Ric now look at that head and picture them as sheds, not even close to matching

Dennis, with all do respect I'd have to disagree. Both have split g2's,same color, same basic point configuration and bases. Yes, they aren't perfect but IMO if I found them a 1/4 mile apart I'd think I found a set. Just my .02 buddy.

Hey, good luck on your morel hunt. It's still early.

I agree as well, they'd match to me.

Ahh didn't know the right side was a split thought it was a different tine, my fault for looking at it on my dumb phone

That's a good haul S&G, and a nice deadhead!

Decided to pick the ones here in front of the house today. Came up with 48, and figure I will have some more to pick there later.

Nice haul Fluteman! Little honey hole :pickle:

@customizer Some soak some don't, they all need cut open or the insides cleaned out somehow. I cut them into the sizes I want and spray them with the sink sprayer to get the little buggies out. Any left are just extra protein. Cut off any moldy or rotten bits.

Went out today for about an hour and found another nice meals worth:

Ok awesome!! Thanks for the info, I'm gonna hit it tomorrow morning keep your fingers crossed for.me guys

Hit creek or river bottoms and flats. I also did well along floodplains were the trees meet the field edge. First time getting some decent patches, instead of two here three here. Finding tiny greys on the N/NE cooler sides of hills, some moisture and warmth and hopefully be finding bigger ones soon.

Still no blacks or peckers :smiley_chinrub:

Pines that are mixed with other tree types. Someone told me the other day you'll find flows along the driplines of pines, where they meet mixed hardwood. Right where the two meet the dripline of the pines provides moisture while the Morels feed off the adjacent mixed trees. White pine or certain aspens I've heard but I can't ID trees the best yet
