finally got out of the house for a couple hours this morning.

Went to my favorite spot at clearfork and found a pontoon bout parked right in the middle of the cove. Luckily i knew the guy and had fished with him before so it was no big deal for me to sit on shore and fish the same spot. Sat for about 3 and a half hours and all I caught was a 2.5 to 3 pound bass, the other guy didn't do any better.

I had about 20 minutes lafet till I had to head for the house so i figured I would try another spot real quick.

I pulled up and found another truck there. It was a couple and there 3 boys that had gotten skunked and were just getting ready to head out. I put a minnow on the line and dropped it in...
...Took abut 5 seconds, 14 inch crappie,

The other folks jaws dropped.

I put another minow on....

...10 seconds, 12.5 inch crappie... They went scrambling to get their poles back out...

In 10 minutes time I had 4 in my bucket between 12 and 14 inches, had another good one get of as I was pulling it out of the water, and set three more loose because I wasnt sure they were legal size.

I figured 4 good slabs was enough for a meal for my small clan, so I picked up my stuff, and told the couple they could have my spot. I realized they werent catching anything cause they were using worms. I went to my jeep, found a moto mart coffe cup, poured in what minnows I had left (a little over a dozen) and gave them to the woman and said "happy mothers day, They are hitting about 3 feet deep."

They already had a good one in the bucket before I pulled away.

Sorry for the pic, I had to crop the hell out of it to get it down loaded.

Kody and I played Hookie today and headed out with my dad to a lake at Mingo Sportman. I caught a 15" walleye right off the bat. Kody had the best day catching 4 bass. They weren't hitting too well. Maybe because they're spawning?
Here's Kody's best catch.

Looks like a good day Mike! Nice fish!

Mason and I went to Rocky Fork today. We killed 'em. I bet we caught 100 saugeyes, only 6 keepers though. If we would have had more time I'm sure we would have limited. They were biting really well, but we didn't really find them until almost noon. The 6 we kept were 16-19", no monsters, but they will fry nicely.

Went to Erie today with my buddy randy who's a pro walleye fisherman. Took pops along. It was a slugfest.

Our five biggest fish weighed just shy of 50lbs.
We filled the box with 18, not a single fish was under 5lbs.

Well done Zach!
I kept 5 more saugeyes this morning, 16-20". Not bad for not getting started until 11 am!
