Dude agreesThat thing is terrifying
Giles, the lack of me catching flatheads has been mostly from the location and style of fishing. The folks i normally take out want numbers and could care less about a flathead so i haven't been actively seeking them. The channels and blues are easier to catch down here mostly due to them prefering dead bait. Down here a 15lb flat is just a decent fish. There are triple digit flats down here for the reproducing. Rarely do i keep a fish over 10lbs but i will keep a bigger flat head once and a while for the cheeks which are a delicacy to us. I understand where you were coming from though and i could have worded it alittle different. Should have said i caught an accidental flathead on a jug.Lack...with the amount of fish you catch, why don’t you let those big breaded fish go? Little ones taste better and you don’t seem to need the meat.
The comment “finally caught a nice flat” kinda stuck out to me. Like you haven’t caught many...then you killed the one you did.
That sounds a lot better to me. Had me head scratching
That was nice of your boy to hold that goldfish while you snapped a picThis one ain’t rolling under the car seat! Gottem!!!!View attachment 84461
They were stacked up there weren’t they?Found piles of small stripers and hybrids today. Got the numbers but struggled with the quality. Still a good day on the water with my dad.View attachment 85124View attachment 85125
