42 last night, turned back 12-15 to grow some more. Everything was biting but the flatheads. Herring produced the numbers while cut bream produced the quality!

Here's a few channel cats we've gotten the past couple Saturdays. In all 6 Fish Ohio's. The biggest is that big black one greyson caught @ 30". Headed back tonight with greyson and his buddy and dad. Chicken Liver on a circle hook on a slip sinker rig

Picked a launch window between squals, got out 8 snapper in an hour, picked thru them to keep 2 nice ones, got chased in by the NaCHO2 beastie... but I got my snappers.

Snapped this pic before an interested observer started peering down from the third floor. Apparently it is not common to see walleye filleted on the tailgate of a truck in this part of town.

Dad has been wanting me to take him after some catfish and we finally got a trip lined up Tuesday night. Fish were on fire and dad had a great time. That's what it's all about! Caught 41 and kept 16 for the freezer.

Smallmouth bite around Put-in bay has been tough. Have only been able to find the roamers few and far between. So far these are my best two on about 1.5 days of hard fishing.

I wish I could give you an answer but it’s been so random to nail down a pattern for us.
I can tell you we didn’t find them or get them to bite in any numbers in the shallow to nearby deep water around the islands and surrounding areas.

Don’t feel too bad, Cole. Mason and I spent the weekend on LSC and couldn’t find smallmouth. And that place is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced for smallmouth. Sometimes they are very hard to find.

Oh yeah, both sides. Tried essentially everything from the Metro park north. One of the guys I know up there told me everyone was struggling. When you can’t catch a fish it’s usually not too hard to find others that are willing to complain with you.
Got back last night from a quick trip to Lake Ontario for king salmon. We had a slow day, 10 hookups and only landed 2 fish. Fun trip though with a couple of clients/friends.

Neighbor down the road said show up at 4 am. 13 Eye’s off CLE this morning. Had to work for them.
A buddy and I spent the weekend in TN. Definitely not the greatest trip we've had down there for size or numbers. The fishing was slow most of the day Saturday, picking up a few, but Sunday we slapped the small stream rainbows around pretty good.

Got a quick opportunity to head off the beach on the National Seashore a couple miles from the casa. Hit just before the moon rose over the gulf.
Got a couple reds and a nice Mangrove, aka Black snapper. Great vittles.

Livies were scarce, only picked up three, one ARS on a half cause the dang trigger fish killed and chewed them up on the way down.
