Went back to the spillway last night just for fun after work. Caught probably 30 6-9 inch crappie, all released. Along with maybe 10 or so small white bass. Also threw a Zmann paddlerZ for a while on a 1/8 ounce corelok and caught my PB saugeye at 17inches! No pictures to prove it though😂 #Floridaman isn’t used to this kind of fishing quite yet. I have a feeling some new rod and reels are in my not so distant future.

New PB AGAIN TODAY. 23inch thick one! Brought home 10 white bass as well! Fished from 530-730. The #Zmannbaits are working well up here. All fish were caught on a 2.5in white, Slim Swimz. All you northern guys need to give them a shot if you aren’t familiar with them.

Nice catch! It seems impossible to fish anywhere in this state without the blue worm containers laying around somewhere. 😁
I saw it there for the past couple of days. Before I left today I picked up probably a pound of mono and braid along with five or ten pounds of other trash… it’s nowhere near as bad down in Florida but yes lazy people are everywhere.

I don’t think I ever saw one in Northern Michigan or Canada. But one time I was fishing the Rio Grande close to Pilar, New Mexico. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere. It was beautiful country after you got used to the lizards and snakes. I decided to make a short cut back to camp through the riverside willows. There it was... the blue worm box! Dang things should be made biodegradable. 😁

Add another one to the arsenal.Shimano 2500xgfl going on my star rod vpr 6-14 medium light extra fast. Used to throw this same combo down in Florida for reds, snook, trout, pompano, etc! Should be perfect for just about anything up here! I might pick up a couple 1000s for this crappie type fishing. We shall see! Gonna give it a whirl after work for an hour or so.
