The maiden voyage for the 2500 went well tonight! Fish fry tomorrow with home made hush puppies, butter grits and an assortment of fish! Every single fish caught today/ this evening was on a 2.5 inch shad body and 1/8 eagle claw trokar jig head. Different color bodies all around though. Blue sparkle and clear were the ticket today though! #Floridamanfishesohio

Never play hooky from work to go fishing. You never know when some rando with a camera will snap your picture and put you in the paper.

Glad I used a PTO day yesterday. But where was the paparazzi when I was catching fish?

Popular colors were "cotton candy" over white (pic below) and the bright blue/chartreuse.

A friend of mine and two of his buddies with a 3 man limit on trout yesterday. They were fishing south of me about an hour and twenty minutes away. They put some big ones in that pond this year!

@Dustinb80 Thank you saving me some fish. I picked up a 5 trout limit at Punderson today in the kayak. It’s first maiden voyage.

Got another limit today. I believe it was the 6th or 7th time out for trout and I got my limit every time but one. May go perch fishing Sunday but not 100% sure.

Made my first solo trip up to the river today. Figured I'd try and get a couple walleye. There were maybe 10 people up and down the river that I could see. Was pretty enjoyable out there. Took me 2.5 hours to pull a limit
