Had 3 gobblers 2 jakes and a hen in at 6:45,had to wait for the right time to draw and when i released he moved a little and all i saw were feathers flying,lol
Just skimmed the front of him,they really didn't know what happened they just started scattering and if i coulda got another arrow on faster i coulda got a shot at one at 5 yds,hate sitting in a blind with the recurve so just made me some blinds outta limbs.
In the pic looking at the blind you can see feathers on the ground,thats wher he was standing.
Man it was fun though.will keep trying till the end.

Seems like everyone is on the birds but having some crappy luck this morning.
This should brighten your mood. Travis / Alex and I went back to the same spot we hunted the two days of youth. Travis passed two jakes in there on Saturday and again on Sunday. I was convinced the other bird that hung back was a tom. Well we got in there and it was actually three jakes. He let one have it at about 50 yards. Turned out to be a pretty big jake with about a 6 inch beard.

Good deal guys! Congrats. We worked a group of jakes for 2 hours but they wouldn't cross the hollow like they have been doing. Back to work tonight, doubt I hunt until Tuesday.

Finally had 2 gobblers and some hens come to 60 yards gobbler was all fanned out but wouldn't come in to decoys when the hens had enough they started to leave and took the Tom's with them....we'll be back there tomorrow
