Almost hate to admit it but I've never had one. I don't think there are many around here as I've never seen the trees like we do down in athens.

That means it's time to go to Jackie O's and get a growler of their pawpaw wheat beer!
That's THE best beer....I always grab a 12. Like Paw Paw though...the shelf life isn't long. Drink up! BTW....checked our crop in Athens and they're not quite prime yet. This weekend they'll be perfect.

I was going to go take a look-see tomorrow to see what I can turn up. Will probably check around surrounding Athens area for pawpaws and acorns. Dual purpose 😎

Sorry man, just now seen your question. I search creek bottoms for them.

I should’ve stashed some of this ice cream! Sounds really good right about now...

I’ve got property in Vinton county near McArthur, I wonder if I have any of these on my property...I guess by the time I get there at the end of October, they are already done. I don’t even know what the trees look like.

That’s a great time to find the trees. They seem to be the last ones to change color. Look for large dark green leaves.

We've got some already.

They fell off the trees and we scooped them up.

The others that are still hanging will be picked soon.

Probably the beginning of next week cause I have an action packed weekend planned & a family reunion this Sunday here at our place.

What do you do with them, Denny?

We have so many of them around here it's not even funny.

I think the wife has definite plans for them this year,,, but I can't remember what it is.

She mentioned to me that she read some recipe I can't recall what it was. I'll have to ask her again,... Some sort of drink I think.

I generally use them at my deer feeder and they love them!
