Took the plunge and ordered/paid for a Traeger smoker today at Home Depot. They will put it together and call me to pick it up, probably next Wednesday or Thursday. Saved $80.00 with my veterans discount, plus the area I went to get it is a low income area so I only paid 3.5% sales tax instead of 7%. Here is the model I got….View attachment 137057View attachment 137058

First time doing this. Low and slow for 16 hours at 225* is what I’m planning on doing. All trimmed up and just put rub on this brisket and put up in fridgerator. Gonna put in smoker around 6. So around 6, I’m also going to put bob evan maple sausage in as well to snack on.

We did have a little struggle with a weak WiFi signal, ended up getting a WiFi booster and that remedied the situation.
You’ll probably need too calibrate the meat thermometer. It’s got a +- Calibration too it. Ours read 10-11* low out of the box.
Do you calibrate it by using a regular meat thermometer then adjusting the Traeger thermometer?

Traeger makes a seasoning for all of them and they’re pretty good.
We seasoned the grill as per their instructions.
Have you downloaded the app for it yet?
