Realizing I'd need more pellets and with limited options locally, I ordered a summer's worth of fuel from Amazon today. I intend to do my own blend and call this the "Appalachian Blend". My dad has an electric concrete mixer that I can combine it inn and I have plenty of feed bags for storage. Once I can assess our local market for cheaper options, I'll go that route. For now, delivery is my only real choice. I usually need 3 propane refills, which is roughly that same price as the pellets. We'll see how the ROI shakes out.

All the pellet finally showed up. One full scoop from each of the 5 made one full pellet box, so it worked out well! Time to test the blend on some sous vide venison shanks.

Buddy of mine has a pit boss smoker...the welds that hold on the legs broke when he was putting it away this weekend. If anyone has one, I’d check on it to make sure you don’t have any future troubles.

Cleaned out the chest freezer today. Found a pork loin and half of a breast from the turkey I raise and butchered. Dang good feed.

I done went and bought one today...been eyeing them and looking at reviews. Drew threw a pizza on it tonight after we put it together...gonna really try it out tomorrow for mothers day!!

A Cuisinart. Has the wifi and probes. Came with griddle, ceramic briquette sear insert, and charcoal tray. Pretty happy so far.
