Glad you successful. Shouldn't matter if you have hunted this way for 50 years doesn't mean it's the best or the right way to do it. Just shows you all have been very lucky for the last 15 years that nobody has taken any lead. It only takes just one time of not knowing what's under that snow to pepper yourself with shot in the leg or face or nail a nearby buddy when it ricochet. Blasting into heavy cover like I seen in that video is also another good way to have a bad day. Old iron or steel can be in the darndest places sometimes.

Just because something is legal does not mean it's safe or smart. Hunting moving animals with weapons in a group mandates orange whether the great state of Ohio says it does or not. It shows common sense, responsibility and strong ethics.

And again, Huck is right. The gas well stuff is pure ignorance and stupidity. I've been around oil and gas my whole life and it's dangerous stuff. My dad knew 2 people who died from hunting on top of tanks when the roofs caved in. That part was the worst for me.

Using a spotlight and poaching deer at night is also highly effective. Doesn't make it right. While you might not technically be breaking any laws like a spotlighting poacher is, it doesn't make it right in my eyes.

I can see how the behavior could be misinterpreted and we do respect the animals we hunt. I pray to god after every hunt thanking for the animals we were able to take. But calling our hunting methods "borderline criminal"? Are you serious?

I would imagine there are career criminals who give thanks to God every time they rob a house for not getting shot or caught. Still doesn't make it right. I would venture to say there are some game laws which have been violated in these videos. If no laws violated, common sense, safety, and respect for the animals was thrown out the window. Just my opinion. Edit as much as you would like. In my opinion, this is a horrible message to any non-hunter, animal rights activist, and it is an especially horrible message to our youth still learning what is right and ethical in the woods.

I'll throw this tidbit out there as I've seen this before and it fits here. Some were born, raised and live in a bubble. In that bubble, certain things are tolerated and accepted that may not be outside that bubble. There was a group at the D&T Expo around '06 by the name of the Hershberger Bros. They sold (practically gave away) a deer hunting DVD that was pure dog shit. Lots of questionable shots, horrendous displays of ethics and an overall flavor that was hard to swallow. I wrote them a letter and tuned them up much the way we have you in this thread. In their eyes, all was good and they would be Ohio's version of Mark and Terry Drury. They never returned to the Expo, nor did they ever release another DVD.

Sometimes we have to leave our bubble to see how the world views what we view as normal. Normal ain't always right...

How old are you anyways? There is no way that any of this behavior is that of a mature adult who has any respect for the game he pursues. And why is it that you have to shoot a rabbit that's literally sitting at your feet, why not let it run and at least make it a challenge? I've never in my life seen a person who practices good ethics and sportsmanship hunt rabbits this way. By releasing this video, all you will do is feed the antis what they need to paint us like savages.

The criminal statement was meant if you had a shooting related incident and it was investigated. Law enforcement would of found your shooting practices very questionable and a cause for the incident... That was the point I was trying too make....
Your style of hunting is pretty foreign too the majority of us when it comes too the videos is what you should take away and with that producing a video that hasn't gotten rave reviews so far on TOO should have you rethinking your process....
