last night. Didn't get much of anything really for us, at least not yet. Tomorrow's another day, good night!
My cousin lives in Belpre and got 4.68 inches
Belpre is a city built on sand, but it doesn't drain well amazingly enough! And the city stormwater infrastructure is a joke.
A lot of the older communities are in the same boat. Salem had the same issues and there were large diameter lines just being connected to lines half as big causing backups and flooding. But of course they never had the funds to fix the issues…
Sounds like you all are safe and houses are dry, good to hear! We only got .5" yesterday, really could have used some more, but not 4-6"
The toad stranglers from Monday most certainly packed my seed in and saturated the plots. The current rain has been a slow, steady soaker all night and is the perfect food plot watering rain. We gave a few days of heat and sunshine ahead, so I expect to see signs of sprouting when I check on things this weekend. Let's hope this cycle repeats all through August and if so, all us food plotters should be happy with our results.
I'm working in Hamilton and they mustve gotten way more rain than we did at the house. Dang swamp this morning. Looking like a good day for housekeeping and making sure everything is all greased up.
Calling for close to 2” today…. We’ll see what we end up with….
1.4" here over night, 5.7" just a few miles N. Was crazy to watch it suck clouds/moisture off the lake to build. Same kind of heat & energy out there again today.

Tornado touched down just east of Athens about 8:20.
I saw that tornado from start to finish! Took my oldest to the truck pulls at the fair grounds with a buddy. Saw the cloud start to drop and rotate, probably 5-10 min later it touched down. As soon as it touched down we got the hell outa there. I think my buddy took some photos, I’ll have him send them over.

Some cool pics and videos are out there. One from a drone. The other pic was taken from a neighbor down the road. No one hurt and no serious damage reported other than trees and power lines.
Lots of green, yellow, and red on the radar today with a drought coming on the backside. As long as we keep up the heavy dews at night, the dry weather should really pull the food plots along nicely. With tomorrow being cool and sunny, I'm looking to bail on my afternoon meetings and enjoy some outside time

Just received a heavy burst about 10 minutes ago. We received 1" for today so far with the harder predicted stuff still on it's way.
