The target bucks I’m after only show up at night...about an hour after dark, then throughout the night until right before daylight. The only exception was when I went back and baited, then opened up two mock scrapes...one of the bucks showed up that afternoon (I wasn’t in the stand because it was raining most of the day and only stopped briefly late afternoon then started up again) and again the following morning. All night time visits since. I’m going to freshen the scrapes again then hunt the same day...hopefully they come in again during daylight. Also noticed a definite lack of rubs...usually dozens along the logging road I walk in on, but not a single one this year.

I’m in Ohio, checked into hotel...going to blind tomorrow to bait, change sd cards/batteries, make a mock scrape and put water/snacks in the blind. Start hunting Saturday morning. My target buck shows up every morning and night but always before/after shooting light. He was a day walker august through early October but has gone nocturnal...hopefully the mock scrape and rut will bring him out in the daylight.

Fucking hate y’all w all the 150’s behind every tree. Good luck George and let me know before the forum thread. Should be a cakewalk unless you northerners suck at hunting. [emoji1787]

I know but I’ll never kill the one I want if I’m tempted to shoot a smaller one. Don’t like the taste but I’ve eaten tag soup before.
If you cook it slow tag soup ain't that bad.... I've had it quite alot over the years, esp. them Illinois tags.... And damn that's expensive soup....:ROFLMAO: But if you want a 200 incher you gotta pass on them 170+ deer....
