Sat last night in a stand with a bad wind on purpose. 2 does 30 yards downwind for 15 minutes. Occasionally they looked my way and flicked their tails but that's it. For any doubters still out there I can honestly say I've seen the smoker work.

That is how I sold myself on it as well. I can remember puffing the wind checker and watching it roll right off the back of the 2-3 year old doe that was standing 15 yards from the base of my ladder stand. My exact words were: "No fucking way." lmao I ordered mine the next day.

My buddy from work just got his. He's strictly a traditional archer/ground hunter and I can't wait for him to use it.

Was at my nephews wedding last weekend. The reception was in a old feed mill along some railroad tracks, converted to a nice reception area. As things where moving along I happened to come a cross something that I thought looks right in place.

Not every day you see a retired old smoker as a decoration. :D

Best stuff I ever use. I will pass this on to the next generation to my future kids and their kids. This scent smoker will get your money's worth.

Reminds me I have to head to wal mart to get the clearance bags of chips like I did last year, hopefully I'm not too late.

I'm still on the fence about this. We smoked up heavily last year and it seemed to work ok sometimes, and a couple of times I busted deer during my time in Ohio. I watched them get very sketchy here in NJ a couple times, but never bust out. My buddy using it in the same set quickly watched does become accustomed to the scent and pair it with "something ain't right" which forced him to stop using it in that set. This year I'm going to try strictly keeping my clothes scent free as possible and then smoking my body up. I think too much smoke might be a bad thing. I'm going to try to use it just to prevent the growth of bacteria as much as possible....

I was pretty sceptical. Decided to try it and smoked the crap out of me and my clothes, hunted on the ground and had deer sll around me many times. Never got busted.

The deer won't have an issue with it UNTIL they can associate it with danger. Once that connection is made the smoke or any other cover scent for that matter looses it's effectiveness IMO.

ISS96, did your buddy get winded and shoot at one of those deer in that group? May not have been a target but that deer might have been in a group or was a fawn or something and has learned to fear that scent.

We've had 6 antlerless deer total down wind of us this week. Have yet to have one bust out, and I was NOT surprised. :). We did have one stretch her head up as far as she could and sniff for a minute or two before she walked in the last 70 yards to feed under us. Its fun to beat 'em that bad!

Not totally sure. A shot is certainly a possibility though.

But I definitely had deer wind me in Ohio. Never had them bust out in NJ, but Ohio yes. I am going to smoke up some this weekend. Supposed to get cold, should be some fires going....

Read through every post on here last night and I am sold. I placed my order this morning and can't wait to try this out. I was contemplating going all out and buying all charcoal activated clothes but I am stoked to give this a try!

Brock I gotta say that smoke has really proven itself for urban deer hunting for me more so than Ag country.

These city deer have NO idea a human is around. None. Thanks for bringing this to us all. Works crazy good.

This week I have had 20+ deer directly down wind (some the same deer just different days) and haven't even had so much as a ear flick.
