I think that's my problem. My routine has always been to eliminate as much smell as possible. Hard habbit to break I guess.

I never thought of the "scientific" aspect of it. Mentioning the smoked meat not going bad kinda made it make a little more sense. I assumed everyone was just using it as a cover scent.

There are guys here who would sooner go into the woods in street clothes with smoke rather than camo with no smoke. Give it a try and you will likely be pleased. If you aren't, well, you wash your clothes and take a scent free shower to revert back to your existing ways.

Incorrect. Every 15 years or so someone shoots a giant in stark county. Happens every year in southern Ohio!
