Thanks everybody. Finally got to bed last night around 12:00. Everything is just kind of a test and wait thing right now and observe. Pop is seeing a kidney specialist today TOO because of a slightly elevated creatine level found in a test yesterday. He almost got to come home yesterday evening but when they ran another potassium test it had gone a little higher. Thanks for the prayers all and please keep em coming.

We got some really good news today. Pops tests are all coming back good and he has a really good chance to be released tomorrow. Once he gets out he is going to have to follow up with a kidney specialist and figure out what is knocking his potassium and creatine levels outta whack but today was a great day. Pop fell three times in one day two weeks ago and has had shoulder pain ever since. We finally convinced him to get an X-ray done while he is in there so he did today and all the X-rays came back negative. No breaks, or tears, just bruised.

Dang near 11pm. Been working on hard floors all day finishing the quarter round and trim in a rental. Now just finished the 4 bids I have to get out. Was hoping to hunt in the morning. Not looking good at the moment. Still need to write the speech for toast for my brother's wedding this weekend. Might have to be short and sweet. "Ya dun screwed up this time bro. I still love you though. Butthead."

Unloaded the quad off the truck last night and went for a little "bat out of hell" ride around the yard. Slid her down home and started to walk inside when I saw smoke coming from behind the seat. Figured pinning the front end a few times while I slide the rear end around the tight corner at the back of the yard just made the brakes some! lmao Turns out there was a mouse nest in the compartment with the starter and it caught on fire. Took four huge cups of water to get it out. It was trying to start itself despite the ignition being off and key out! I have no idea how much damage or $ I'm out just yet...

That's gotta suck. With all the gear that needs hauled in and out at the beginning and end of a season not to mention all the use it gets during a season to be without one sucks...I know because I don't have one and wish every year I did have one lol.

Looks like a few wire harnesses should do it but those things can get expensive quick. Hope you get it up and running again soon man.

I have a back up, but she ain't the beast that this one is. Another Rancher though, 2001 version. We just had it rebuilt and she runs like a top. Once again, thankful for an old man that has lots of toys! I get it honest!!! However fixing Big Bird is all out of my pocket! Going to pull her in the garage and access the damage after it dries out from this rain...

Woke up at 3:57AM with my kid who is teething and never went back to be. Been on the road since 6:30 and I'm still 90 minutes from home. The shit I took at 6 as stayed with me all day. 225 miles with swamp ass is dump worthy.

The bright side? I get to scout my duck/goose spots at first and last light. Stay positive my friend...
