Still in stand. Only saw that lone doe early. I thought I would have action today. The second half is gonna be tough. Jim Bob has been wrenching and revving all day. Is it me or is a requirement that you must remove your exhaust when living in the country. Vroooooom.
I'm in a mass panic looking for hickory chips. Hit my usual spot and they stopped carrying them. Local feed mill, Family Dollar, and local pharmacy don't stock them either. Wind is stiff and perfect, clothes are clean, but I can't bring myself to go if I can't find something.

Settled back in. This spot seems good to me, but with the way this season has gone so far, who knows. One thing for sure, I'll either see something or I won't, that's a guarantee.
The game is over, so it's time to smoke & suit up. I'm torn between which 3 places I wanna go. Whichever I do go TOO, deer will be at the other two....ennie, meenie, minnie, mo ....ughhh.

Found some mesquite my dad had laying around, settle in about 10 minutes ago. It's windy, cool and drizzling. Just like the night I killed my buck last year. I'm 100 yards from that tree tonight hoping to catch one of the first cruisers.

Keep at it Wayne! Just know that everything around you has not been disturbed and something might be coming your way. I think you and Mike are the only ones sitting all day but not positive. You try any calls yet? If not, you might try that TOO. Good luck!
