Been in the stand for an hour and all is quiet. Windy and cold, so I'm already chilled down! Sitting here until 1, then going to a better afternoon spot. I'll come back to this stand tomorrow AM.

Saw this buck for the first time today at 120 yards. First time I ever layed eyes on him since getting his first picture in July 2012. He cut off the fence row I was hunting. No does with him and he was fully alert to his surroundings. Had a horrible NW wind this AM that made me back out of my decision to hunt in the woods near bedding. Although he came from that stand area, I think it was the best decision not to go in there with that wind. I had just hung a stand sunday near that bedding and placed a cam. He's shown up twice in four days not in shooting light.

I stayed out until 1030. Winds picked up & I turned into a pussy. Nothing more was moving. This afternoon I'm gonna head back up into the woods with the Ghostblind. Last Sunday this guy came thru while I was cutting up my doe, so maybe he'll make a repeat appearance ....

Coincidence or not .... I had previously applied Evercalm to some saplings out ahead of one of my ground blinds & yesterday I discovered some freshly made rubs along side & nearby. Here's the buck caught in the act . Also, the gut pile from my doe, which the buzzards pretty much gobbled up is a matter of feet away as well. This is where I'll be for this evening's hunt .....

Sweet Kevin! Good luck buddy!

Alex, that dude has stud and mature written all over his ass! Hope you get him on the ground soon! Great move by not going in just yet,IMO. Patience is a good trait.

Saw 3 does at the 3 hour mark as I was standing to end my first skunked hunt. Waited 10 minutes for a buck to show to no avail, so I pulled my set. Obviously that's not where I need to be. Headed to a 260 acre farm that's set up well for ground hunting. Going to scout/hunt and see if maybe I should hunt there tomorrow.

I'm in. Settled in a spot where 4 things come together. One piece of woods that gets narrowed down. Bedding to my left and my right. Serious pinch behind me between 2 cut corn fields. Outta be good
