Supposed to work half day thursday and be off friday. If the thunderstorms come in on thursday it'll be the other way around. Not sure which I would prefer.
Got the blind setup and will be heading out in about 30-45min to sit the corner where they had been coming out into the winter wheat field picking at leftover beans. See what happens I guess lol.

All I saw was small bucks searching and a BB trying too mount it's momma...... Two friends hunted the area last night and were skunked so far they're not showing much....

Squirrels are active. Heard a pissed off cat. Combine is picking to my east and eventually north. Sitting 30-40 yds inside woods with bedding thicket between me and combine. I am afraid the deer were gone due to combine before I got here though.
Have a doe at 100 yards right now. She watched me and Kody walk in, climb up and sit down. She's still feeding in he crack pasture.
3 more doe feeding at about 300 yards in field on opposite property. Moving early tonight here.

If they are taking off corn, the deer will hang in there until the last couple of passes. Otherwise, they see tractors every day and they don't spook them.

Corn Big H. Still sitting. Heard what sounded like a good spar session around 4pm. Figured a deer got bumped into neighboring turf or just per rut action. Otherwise quiet with no deer sightings. Farmer is picking a random pattern. In here with hopes of shooting the doubled cookie deer.

Saw 6 does and two bucks. All in the same routine theyve been in. Relaxing sit amd went unnoticed. Ill take it.

Good sit, Gordo. It won't be long and they will be running all over. All you need is one of those does to start smelling a little right and there will be bucks all over her! That is why I can't wait to get to the tree tomorrow. I'm sure from what I saw this morning I have one doe that is getting close, she should have more boyfriends than a Kardashian over the next few days!
