Nice work men! Finished my wife’s Christmas present today. New floor, trim, paint, vanity, mirror and some other odds and ends in the guest bathroom. Took aa out 3 weeks to get this thing done. The old tile floor was cracking and the old trim was peeling and looking pathetic. The LED lightbulbs really brightens up the room as well.

Had the bed off the taco to check evap canister and noticed bad exhaust leak due to tail pipe being unattached to muffler and a few pin holes.

Got the new exhaust (from the cat back) today in the mail so that was the project today. Will probably need a new sensor as the old one is pretty well froze on. I have just asked it to come off so far, I haven’t gotten serious enough to tell it to gtfo.

Was having a tough time with getting the last hanger to go in and thought to my self, “self, this will be easier with some lubricant”. Grabbed some WD and wallah in it went. Will post some pictures of it hung once I get it all back in.

I may decide to weld the intermediate pipe to the muffler when I get some more time, right now it’s just clamped.

I was sold a circular flange gasket seen in the picture. Large gap is present between catalytic converter and intermediate pipe. Will this gasket fill the gap when hot and tightened down? I spent a good amount of time scraping old gasket material off.

It sucked down pretty good with the impact. We will see how it plays

I put on the safety hardness and tested it out myself in my garage with electric hoist 2 years ago, lol. OSHA approved.

Electric hoist? Niiiice! Tractor bucket or a chain fall is what I use. Either way, so much easier than man handling them.

I spent most of my day cleaning up my new man cave. This section of the barn is really set up nice... fully insulated, in-floor radiant heat with propane boiler, full bathroom and shower with on-demand hot water, air compressor with drops, loft, shelving, 220v service etc... but it is in desperate need of cleaning after being neglected for 4+ years. Lots of dust, lots of cobwebs. Nothing really “dirty,” just unkept. So I wanted to get it as cleaned up as best I could before moving my own stuff over there from our current house.

Our purchase include these two Cub Cadet mowers and this old Cushman utility vehicle with dump bed. They all run well but need cleaned up and some TLC. One of the mowers is leaky oil through the exhaust, so I’m guessing it needs some engine work. New piston rings? I think I’m going to keep the Cushman, at least for a little while. But I think I want to sell both of the mowers and put that money towards a new zero-turn. I think once these mowers are tidied-up they will fetch a decent price.

I’m looking forward to making this new shop “my own” and growing into it.

Sounds like a nice set up. In floor radiant heat is awesome. I'd like to have it eventually. Once the concrete is up to temperature it keeps the whole place close to that temp. Pretty efficient to maintain the temp once at desired temp too.

Cold, drafty shop no more. Had a TOO good moment after my unboxing that made me appreciate being a capable homeowner. The line I bought had the wrong connection (box didn't list a connection spec, so I guessed and guessed wrong). Ran down to my local feed mill/hardware store, told the guy what I was after, he walks over to an old wooden drawer, pulls it open and hands me the right male-to-male nipple. $2.48 and he knew exactly what I needed and where it was. Got it cranked up to burn off the smell and with the blower on, it'll run you out of my shop!
