Helped my buddy build this small chicken coop and huge rabbit cage yesterday. Someone wanted a small coop for their hens to have a place to lay eggs...they are free range.

Bathroom facelift began today. Project thread is a good place for the pics. 14yrs since anything has been done in this bathroom. It was ready. She's even getting a new door. Building cabinet. Lots of stuff but nothing is really exotic. Fairly simple facelift. Flooring. Paint. New trim and door. Same tub and vanity.

Past due for an update on this. Get on it!!!

Shitters in.

Been preoccupied with other stuff. Kids. Taxes. Rentals. Etc. I've been doing some drywall touch ups. Mud. Wait. Sand. Mud. Wait. Ready for paint in the rest of it now. Hung a new door. New toilet. Built some shelving. Just in limbo. Hopefully by end of the weekend it is 95% done. That means I can go 10-15 years to finish the last 5%. Isn't that how it always seems to work? Lol

Trim is cut. Then it was painted with 2 coats. It is ready to be installed. Not at a standstill. Just at a slow pace.

Wife and I turned this pile of confusion into a new playset for our girls. Took 6 hours and pretty steady progress, but we did it without too much heart ache and only one "m f'er", which is a sign of success around our house. My wife read the directions and laid out the parts. I basically ran a drill the whole times. The amount of hardware in this thing is incredible!

Many years of enjoyment coming. Looks good Jesse. We had about the same one. The solace is in the hours they enjoy it. Our kids spent much more than 6hrs on it, so your 6hrs will be very rewarding as you watch them enjoy it.

It was vinyl planking. Sort of like laminate wood flooring with the click and lock system. Looks like tile. Doesn't feel cold. Doesn't need backer board, grout, etc. Much faster and cheaper. Don't like it? Change it again in 10-15 years but won't need a sledgehammer.

Vinyl planking is pretty nice. It is also waterproof which is nice. I put it in my cabin and while I like it, I have had a few places where it has pulled apart slightly. This was likely caused by the temperature swings since it isn't heated when we are not there.

Yeah, I’ve got some I’m getting ready too install in our screened in deck. It calls for a 1/4” gap on all sides but I’m wondering if I should go a little more too allow for the bigger temperature swings as well.

I had plenty of gap around mine but they did pull apart. I bought it on sale from Lumber liquidators so maybe it wasn't the best quality either. I don't know. Not hurting anything though since it is a hunting cabin.
