TOO Weight Loss - Biggest Loser Edition

I gained by choice. 32x30 pants were falling off and I just didn't feel comfortable. I have double the intake of food and have settle around 163-165. Still fitting in the 32x30 pants and that is the plan. I have a little more "cheat" in what I eat at this weight. We will see how motivated I am to add some muscle mass or not. Right now I don't want to but I feel like I need a new goal. I just need to figure out what that is.

I'm at 200 and can't get any higher and I dip lower more often than not. 200 looks better than 190. My stomach capacity has shrunk and I just can't eat the quantity like I did before. Some days I have force myself to eat. The only fasting I do is 12 hours overnight. I'm almost 2 years without alcohol and workouts are strong. Keep it up guys.

Checking in for accountability...

News Flash: I got fat. Again. 🤦‍♂️

I'm starting this weight loss endeavor at 235, just 5#s from my heaviest weight back in 2016. I've gained 20#s since starting my current job in March of 2020. It's mostly due to my stress response, which is to eat and drink. Time to redirect that energy into more productive things like exercise and other productive physical activities. The goal is to get back to 205-210 as my walking-around weight by turkey season, which is definitely achievable.

Down 4#s in Week 1, which isn't great, but it's a start. I drank a lot of beer Th-Sun and enjoyed birthday cake and pizza for Kami's birthday, so it is what it is. Slowly getting into better habits, especially now that we're back to work and the kids are back in school. I need structure in my life to be disciplined on a daily basis, so this week is a welcome return to structure!

Consistency has been critical for me to maintain. I am about 50/50 between cardio and strength training now, with no set days/divides/workouts planned. I just go down and put in 1-1.5hrs, 5-6hrs/week but try to hit atleast 10K steps/day. I have found that only working a muscle group 1-2x's/week is still burning fat and growing the muscle w/o any issues. There for awhile, my left shoulder was screaming at me. I'm stuck around 190, but it's just a number. Stay after it!

January has come and gone with only 7#s coming off. Visually, my body composition would indicate it's more than that, as would how my clothes fit, but the scale says what it says. I'd give myself a B- for where I need to be with everything, but an A- compared to how the last 3-4 months of 2024 went. I haven't been working out and have basically been cooped up all month with the weather. Incremental progress is better than regression, so I won't hate on myself too much, but I can do better. Here's to a better month in February 🥃

The contest restarts everyday when I look in the mirror. I can't beat him, but I'm getting better at kicking his ass trying. One line left to get to a 2025 date. Just get better than yesterday.

Not weight loss but general health post. I hit 40 this winter. Been working pretty hectic since muzzleloader. Not much fat on me now at 167, but have been feeling like dog shit. Making changes because I can't feel this beat down stiff AF at just 40. I eat well except binges. I ate a large chicken bacon ranch poppa jons pizza last night. Woke up ready to get it worked out of my body. Along with some supplements and morning and night stretching I decided this am to knock out coffee. I have never done this. Im not giving up caffeine only coffee. Little squirt flavoring bottles with caffeine here and there. First getting going I'm going to drink a Celsius or two a day. I'm an all day everyday coffee addict. Something has to give. Only live once better make it count. Tired of hurting. No clue what I need but something has to change.
