Some of you may remember that I've been working toward my Guidance Counselor certificate for my second master's degree. On June 8th I had to take the Praxis test. Well, I didn't have to yet... I still have my second internship and a Group Counseling class to take this fall, but I wanted to take it now to see where I stood and just in case I had to retake it. I received my score today. I needed a 510 per Ohio requirements and scored a 650. What a relief!!!

Now, as soon as I finish this last class in the fall, I will be done with my degree and hopefully land a guidance position sometime in the near future. I feel pretty damned good right now.

Congrats Cotty, and good luck with the new position in the future!

The wife had the day off today so we got up this morning , dusted off the fishing poles and headed to the Cambridge reservoir to do a little fishing. We was limited in where we could fish do to still being alittle shaky with walking on uneven ground but we found a decent spot that was somewhat level and set up the chairs and proceeded to put a hammering on the bluegills! We just did some old fashioned bobber fishing but it was great just to get out of the house and get in the outdoors. When we got ready to leave there was an older gentleman with his 2 grandkids and we gave them the rest of the nightcrawlers we had and the kids were happy, they told grandpa that means they could fish that much longer! Really don't know how happy it made grandpa though! We left and went to the Steak and Ale in Cambridge and had a great lunch! One of the best bacon cheeseburgers I've had in quite awhile, overall today has been one of the best days I have had since having my hip redone and I owe it all to my wife, she gave up her day off to take me fishing and get me out of the house and it was great !

Final tally is in. We raised almost $13k after expenses. A feel good moment.

In recent news, our parent foundation offered two $ 100K medical grants during 2012. The grant money was used as seed money and was adopted by medical research boards and medicine backers. The $ 200K blossomed into $ 3.3 million allocated toward cancer research. Basically, it takes money to make money, which our donated monies are the seed monies.

Outstanding work Ben!

Tad- You are a lucky man. A good man is made better by a good wife I believe. Positive upward spiral where you bounce off each other. good stuff!

Mike- Major congratulations on such a great accomplishment! I am truly happy for you. You have worked hard and I hope you find a counselor position in the near future.

Awesome news Ben and Tad!

I emailed Steiners/Burris today enquiring about my Steiner Predator binos I sent to them to be repaired about a month ago. Within a few hours they responded that they will be replacing my pair with a graded pair. Does anyone know what that means? I'm hoping it means with a new pair of equal value and performance. I'm hoping they send me a better harness. The one I got with the original pair sucked bigtime! lol
She said they will be shipping them TOO me very soon! I'll keep yall updated when I get them.

My wifes grandfather and grandmother have had fuel oil heat for years, well this year they got a new furnace and had the tanks taken out of their basement, well to make a long story short I was given the tanks, both are in pretty good shape so one is going to become a hog roaster and the other may become a large grill, not quite sure yet.

Geat to see all the awesome things going on in the world of TOO! Ben that is some really good stuff that you are doing for others that they might be able to fight the battle of cancer with better tools and knowledge in the future.

Mike Congrats on the test score buddy!

Tad glad to hear that you are out and about.

As for me it looks like I will finally get to go scouting the 544 acres of land that I got permission to hunton this fall tomorrow. Can't wait to see what develops.
