Thankfully I've been off any nsaids for over a month. Was trying to give my kidneys a break. Hoping it makes the ibuprofen more effective tonight.

Thanks SgtFury. You are correct. BUT: Did you die? No I didn't. So I guess I need to just suck it up and move on. Lol

@hickslawns Hows it going this mornin for ya Phil?

We wore out a waffle maker that we’ve had since around 06, one of the first purchases we had made on Amazon.
Wife ordered a new one when I was down in NC fishing. Broke it out for the maiden voyage this morning. Here’s hoping another 13 years of Sunday morning Belgian waffles with my wife in the future....
This ones a double maker, two at once. The dogs will be happy as well as they share a waffle every Sunday morning with us. 😂

Ours is a CRUX, don’t remember the old ones manufacturer. It’s the swivel as well. The old one had been over cooking them little by little that we never really realized it until it just flat out was hard as a rock at the end 😂 no matter what temp setting it was on. Now we’re back too light and fluffy 😂😂😂

I had a experience last year that I thought I was going to die. It was the closest I’ve ever come to death and I was very fortunate. Another couple of inches and I would’ve been over the edge of a cliff and there was no way anyone could’ve survived that. Needless to say I was shook up for days. It really make me take a long hard look at my life. Glad everything worked out for you. I’m sure many on here have had very close calls like that.

Can't say I'm shook up today. I think the reality yesterday of "holy crap how did I come out of that as clean as I did? That could have been so much worse!" I think that is done. Definitely a good bruise. Went to Mom's today after church with my boys and a bobcat. Took apart a wood shed and busted up 2/3 of her patio in preparation for a room addition. Left her enough she can step down off her porch without a massive step. Not sure exactly when contractor is breaking ground but ground was as dry as it was going to get. Schedule is full so a Sunday afternoon had to work. Swinging the sledge is either going to help work the soreness out or I'm going to really hurt tomorrow. Lol

Dang I missed this. Glad everything went better than could’ve happened. Shit happens sometimes, most times we can brush it off and laugh at ourselves. This past season was the first time I couldn’t when I fell down the steps during the season. Take it easy big guy!

And you have a job where "routine" tasks offer numerous unexpected risks. We had a fire put out one time. Doing some tear outs and checking hot spots. Still masked up and low visibility but lots of guys in there working. Big section of ceiling came down. Hit the chief on the back of his helmet and pack. He wasn't injured but I was about two steps behind him. If he was 1/2 a step slower it would have drilled him square. If I was 1.5 steps farther along it would have gotten me. BUT what do you do? Live in a bubble? Just need to be cautious. Don't take unneeded risks. Live life. When our time is up, I believe it is not our decision.

Thanks all. Really not a huge deal given the outcome. Just thankful it wasnt my day.
