Ty decided his 4H project this year would be intro to archery. Got his Genesis GenX setup today and got to sling some arrows. 25lbs, 23" is where it begins. There was nothing better than watching his genuine interest in hearing/learning the language, form, using a release, etc. I'm not sure who's more excited tho, him or me.

Another good week in the books. Time to enjoy the homestead for the weekend. 9# pork shoulder on the grill should feed us well after a full day of chores. UFC fights in the garage tomorrow night and family fun day Sunday. Screw all the noise out there, enjoy your life boys. You only have one to love!

Been hurt +1 week, a pinched neck nerve etc, injection

Daughters wedding in CO yesterday after getting a good mix from VA providers in C Springs.
Made the father daughter dance - she requested me to wear the mess dress for her Wedding becauseshe was so proud of my service.... in my toast, it was hard to get thru my apologies for being gone in her childhood and blessed my wife for being there for our family.

Spent all of last week with my two younger brothers up in New York visiting many other family members. It's been years since all three of us spent that much time together. I had a fantastic time. Seen family that I haven't seen in decades, killed a lot of beer, whiskey, gin, and ate plenty of wonderful grilled foods outdoors as family. Future get togethers were definitely planned that include fishing & hunting in Ohio, Florida, and NY. Can't wait for that to happen!
I didn't take many photographs, but other family did. Attached are just a few of what I have currently from the trip.
The Northshore area of Oneida Lake is where I grew up many moons ago.

Burn pit was basic for years. Rocks piled on outside edge. And no appeal at all! Glenna and I decided to build a nice one down back. Sucked in the heat, but sure looks good now. Of course wind is blowing tonight. Definitely enjoy it soon!

T-minus 45mins till I get to hang with my big brother, nephews, sons, while basking in a nitromethane flame and exhaust as they hit 330mph in 3.3sec's.......one of my favorite times of year, HP season is in full swing
