Did he break his ear? I think the pics you sent me yesterday his left ear was hanging.

Yes, I believe he did, just over the past couple of days it happened. Other than that, he's healthy and one busy deer. He makes his rounds quite religiously every morning, a fairly tight daily schedule he's on lately. Hope you two can make another morning hunt rather soon to get on him? He's ready!

Best of luck to all, Ohio 🦌 Deer Hunters, this week, and please, be safe!

Hunter orange 🍊 will be the color of the week for me around here at 🏡

I hope you enjoy today’s latest video and thank you for reading & watching!

11/28/23 - 3:45 a.m. - Post 185 edit:

To whomever this may concern, below is another example of a system issue that I run into every once in while for the past couple of years while participating on this forum.

I could not correct the last/previous post in this journal, and it drove me absolutely nuts, ever since I made the post yesterday, NOT being able to edit the post to correct the spelling/wording. So, I created this post to make those corrections.

The system message that I receive when attempting to edit post number [185] is below, which is a photograph of the message a moment ago for whomever, if interested. An issue/problem that I've been dealing with when creating a new post and I have to make corrections occasionally afterward and I get a system message just like the one below, and it only happens on this forum only, never an issue anywhere else throughout the internet, and I mean anywhere!

Another example of not being able to edit a post on the forum today.
20231128_033408.jpg

Appreciate any attention to resolve the matter/issue to hopefully never have to deal with this issue again while participating on the site.

Edited corrected version of post 185 below, thank you!

11:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2023: '🦌 Rifle Season Opener'

VideoCapture_20231127-110408.jpg

I hunted for a couple of hours this morning with the 'Ole Deer Slug Gun' and saw a couple of young bucks that were out of range.

Video description:

This morning, I hunted with the Ole 12 gauge Remington 870 Express Magnum shotgun from out of the 'Buddy Stand' until approximately 9:30 a.m., with a 30-degree outdoor temperature and a double-digit west wind. It was a little chilly, but I was comfortable as can be.

I got settled in the tree-stand with no issue right at legal time, and I didn't see a 🦌 until shortly after the [8] eight o'clock hour began, and it was a young eight point buck.

I heard two gun shots during this morning's hunt, and each was miles away, and that was it.

I hope you enjoy today’s hunt journal update. The next hunt will be later on this afternoon with the Ole 🦌 shotgun again.

Good luck to all 🦌 hunters this week! Be safe and get some👍

Thanks for reading & watching!

Another busy night 🌙 of 🦌 🎬 overnight & this morning 🌄.

All the local bucks made an appearance at some point last night or early today. I'm on the ground this morning with the shotgun.

Good luck today, 'TOO'zers! 😃

Ctrl > Alt > Delete a few times usually fixes problems!!
Couldn’t it be done on a word document and final product copied and pasted to the forum?
Seems it would be a viable option. Might be a bunch of work for the admins for one post on the site of many….. Remember they have full time jobs as well as families…..

Probably better to type it in Notepad so you don't somehow clip in something else that is causing your problem? Especially long long posts that you may have to cut and paste a few times, perhaps it is messing up your clipboard or something. That or just type it straight in the box on the forum and just limit the amount you put in it.

Appreciate the info gentlemen, thank you!

I've done MSWord docs for some of the longer posts in the past, and I've cleared cash & cookies as well when this thing happens, and none of it has helped resolve the problem no matter what device/system. It's not a show stopper for me by anymeans, it's just annoying at times.

Plus, I got winded 😅 moments ago. Fun,fun!!

11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023: 'A few of the 🦌 overnight'

It's been a while. Been busy and this is a quick update.

Have a great weekend everybody! Take care!!

Trail camera captures of White-tail Deer from overnight. The video does not include everything that occurred or all the deer photographs and video clips received, just some of the better ones.

I have not hunted since 'DAY III' of 'Deer Gun Week'. I've been rather busy, and I'm in no hurry to fill a deer tag yet. I have the yearning burning passion though for a late season buck, I think, and that's because of what I encountered last season on the last day during archery hunting.

There are still plenty of good bucks in the areas that I hunt. I'm interested in a particular few out of the two different properties. As far as I know, they all are still alive.

I have been much busier this year with just about everything, which has limited my time in getting out, hunting, however, I work the farms daily, taking care of animals and stuff, plus a bunch of timber/wood work as well. You'll get to see some of that work in the very beginning of the video. I was working at the creek bottom, cleaning up everything when my cell phone started 'blowing-up', indicating to me that the 'Reveals' were going off on the opposite side of the place during the evening.

All of the deer at both places appear to be healthy and seem to be doing well, especially at our place. Yeah, it's been much better this year around here after 'gun week'. Better than ever before since we've lived here. I'm pretty happy about that, too!

Today's video consists of some of the locals from around our place. I hope you enjoy and thank you for reading/watching!

Enjoy your holidays!

Did he stop at the PLB?

Short answer - IDK.

I honestly won't know until I pull memory card on that TC, which that one does not have an extended battery for it and it's currently at 80% battery life right now. So, it may be a bit before I can answer that question with absolute certainty.
