Youth 2024!

[Shoot-straight]

2 years ago my daughter hit a good buck in the shoulder with a 350 and we never found it. This left her a little gun shy and she didn’t want to go last year. This past spring she smoked a gobbler and last week she asked me to take her deer hunting. Pumped to take her this weekend. She’s shooting great. Going to scout with her on Friday and let her pick her own spot.

Sydney's wanting to get other deer so we got her another tag. She was a little disappointed when I told her she couldn't shoot another buck. Bucks are so cool she said! Will be hunting here at home with the crossbow since she hasn't learned to shoot a rifle yet. Good luck to everyone taking a youth out this weekend!!! Taking a kid hunting is the best part of the season IMO! Can't wait to see some pics from y'all

It's slow. We bumped two coming in, but haven't seen anything yet or even heard any shots. There's been a buck in here for like 8-9 straight days in the mornings, but it's not looking good today. This is probably our only hunting for the weekend, so it needs to happen in the next hour.

Well, she at least got her first real action and her first case of buck fever. Little buckaroo that never gave us a good shot opportunity. She needed rewarded for her efforts so far this season, so that was a welcome bit of activity. I told her when I bought my Little Debbie oatmeal cream pie this morning that deer can't resist the sound of a Little Debbie wrapper. I barely had it open and he came running it. I said, "See, told ya so."
