Stepped out in the rain for 1.5 hours today for some more exercise and shed hunting and found zilch. I did find a broken off point though. It appears to me it's a year old(slight green algae on portion touching the wet marsh ground) and its from a nice buck. IMO, it looks as though it might be a dagger point that split off a base or main beam or even a drop tine. I also believe it was busted off during a fight at one time due to where it was found. The chest high weeds were matted down with tracks everywhere in the middle of this 30 acre field.

Is that the one you found that punctured the tire in your shed hunting hoover round? Lol
Shhhh, don't let everyone in on my secret Dennis! Fuggin hole was a bitch to patch and I had a bear of a time finding grey plugs! Found some white ones and used a gray marker to color match the tires. Lol

It's kinda funny. I've been working in Marietta this week, which is 35 minutes or so from home. For the life of me, I didn't shed hunt, for 2 hrs all week. There's some things around the house and family time that are far more important. Hopefully, I can log some time this weekend. There's a clear- cut on our lease that will require a machete to get thru. Lol. Seriously, I'am sure that there will be some sheds in there, old ones anyway. If I do get lucky, I will get some pics out and about.

Man, #13 you piling them up! Awesome. I know what you mean about time constraints! I am running into that as well. Just makes us appreciate our time in the field even more!

Yep, I have to control myself at times. If there was ever a "Deer Hunting and Shed hunting" help group? I would definitely be joining it.lol. There's more to life than my constant indulgence of chasing deer or sheds. My wife is very supportive and knows , that there are far more worst things I could be doing.

What a crappy day to shed hunt. I went out for an hour, we had just enough snow on the ground to keep me uninterested. Snow makes it really hard to pick them out. Fields and bedding areas are my main hunting grounds and the snow curtailed my search. If tomorrow brings better conditions, I will try it.
