Great job Wayne. I sat in a new stand last night in the drizzle. No deer spotted but there were hours old fresh mature buck tracks and a 20 yard swath of destroyed trees. Looked like the rut was already in, haha

I havent even walked around my woods to see any rubs yet. I am on the field edge and want to stay there and not disturb anything. This corner is hott and I imagine it will be through the rut too. So awesome to shoot a deer in the food plot I worked hard to put in.

Excellent! I am sure it is rewarding. Happy to see you succeed. We are just hunting the edges as well. Staying out of the middle of our properties. I think this helps a lot. Hopefully it pays off for you later!

Forgot to mention how much I enjoyed reading about Flutey's first hunt. Good visuals. I pictured you putting the sneak on. Maybe next time bud.

Been a slow morning in the tree. Zero deer thus far. Still a beautiful morning and great way to start the day. With deer hunting it only takes seconds to change your opinion and sometimes your season. Going to try to sit until 10 and then put in my 12hr day. Lol

I'm hunting a bedding area. Next to the river can hear them splashing thru the water no sign yet tho this is a set I hung yesterday morning and it looks like it will be killer for the rut. Also have my little brother out so we will be getting some youth bonus points when I get the pics up.

Good luck BT.

I've been watching does hammering the dried beans behind the house the last two nights. This time last year, the beans were just starting to turn yellow, and there were no deer to be found on them. Just goes to show you what can happen during a year with low mast.

I have been excited all week about hunting Monday morning due to the front that was suppose to be moving through, but it looks now that the cooler morning will be Tuesday. Gonna hunt tomorrow morning and possibly the evening as well. Working midnights tues, wed, and thurs, but I may try to sneak out in the mornings thanks to Kate's mom being there to baby sit.

Good luck to all of you out there today!

I had a chance at my "crabclaw" buck yesterday morning. I didn't know it, but he broke off all his claw on the bottom. My buddy Nate smoked him last night at about 12 yards. My dumbphone cant upload but I sent the pic to Hicks, maybe he can upload it. Pretty decent buck regardless.

Hopefully this works for you Ryan. Darn nice buck for your buddy. Awfully nice of you to pass on him so your buddy could shoot him. Wth? Did you tie him up or something? Lmao

This deer along with 3 other bucks were still all on their summer patterns. Last Sunday Morning they all came by at 6:30 a.m. but I couldn't see them. I figured it was them. Then Saturday morning exact same deal but at 7:45 a.m. I hadn't hunted that stand in the evening but just had a feeling that they would show up that evening. I honestly couldn't be happier that he got him. He puts a hell of a lot of miles driving down from Perrysburg every weekend, sometimes twice. And he pours a lot of money into the cameras that we put on these deer.

Hunting a woods I know fairly well in the morning. Killed my 2010 buck there. Hung a new set there this year. ESE wind is odd, but a good wind for this set. If the bucks are feeding in the corn my tree stand should stand a chance to seeing a decent buck heading back to bed. Haven't ran a trail camera here this year. I truthfully don't know what to expect in regards to bucks. I am sure there are some little guys there. I am sure there are a handful of doe. Whether there is a shooter over there or not? Not a clue. Nobody has been in there hunting this year so far as I know. Greg has me inspired. I am hitting the woods.

I hit a stand last night that was perfect with that wind. Big tracks all over the area. I had such high hopes. I didn't see a thing. But the apple tree 100 yards away has nothing left under it with some nice ripe ones waiting to fall. It was absolutely tore up underneath it
