Wind really picked up. No other sightings, other than another neighbors dog running by while he is doing yardwork .... in this wind.... Really ? Another was buring leaves down the street & blowing all the way up into the Lot. I'm done for now.

Best day of the years so far... Switch was flipped this morning and watched. Small racked 7 point breed a doe 20 yards from my stand.... When he was done he looked around and then his tail went high and off he went.... I was thinking wth when I looked around and across the creek was a nice up and coming 9 point.... He was looking for a spot too cross then said the hell with it and two bounds later he was shaking the water off and chasing that doe around.... Poor girl had her tongue hanging out and breathing hard.... A little while later a nice 2.5 8 point no width but nice mass came thru and two single doe about 10 minutes apart with nothing in tow.... Then before I got down a buck went thru the the red brush about 75 yards away... Could see a rack just not real good....

All in all a great day on stand and one I really needed..... I can't believe I passed on that 9.... What's happening too me!!!!!! Hahaha

Hope the bucks I saw make it too next year.... We'll have some decent shooters next year.....

Still slow here, but I did see a borderline shooter 8 and a buck I'm almost positive was Captain Jack. Just finished hanging a sweet set for tomorrow. Things are picking up a bit. I hope...

Moved to a different spot to try and get out of the wind. Sitting basically in the same place I was last weekend. Just ate my lunch, (a couple mcdonalds cheeseburgers I had in a bag tucked in my shirt all morning to get them warm) washed down with a swallow of dew.

New spot, full belly, wet whistle, put in a big dip and i'm ready for the rest of the day.

Almost abandoned ship outta my tree stand. Had a tree come crashing down 10 yards away from me. I was looking the other way when it started and I turned to see the thing come toppling down, fortunately not towards me. It was pretty cool but it scared the chit outta me at the time.

Wow I bet that was a pucker factor of 10. Ha ha

I decided to move IP to the top of the ridge and see what's going on up here. Its windy as all get out bit made it so I could get up here unnoticed. Hoping something will move. ...

How ironic. Same thing happened to me this morning. That is why I got down at 930 am. I had one fall close to me, and was staring at a big dead one 10 yards upwind of me. I just couldn't stomach to sit there any longer in the wind knowing that it could fall any moment.

First day of my vacation was good so far. Saw a doe and buck this morning around 8:45. He half hardly chased her, but went on his way. Then at 9:30, a young 7 point came into bow range. Sat till 11:00, then went to another farm for this afternoon and evening. Been on stand all day, except for one hour. Good luck everybody.

Gonna hang tough in this swayin ass tree tonight, but the ground blind is coming out tomorrow. Weatherbug is calling for the same high winds, only out of the northwest.

Had good action early this morning but nothing close enough for a shot. Saw a cool looking tall tined 6 point that is either going to be a stud or has reached his peak, but he's a big boy. Also saw two yotes high tailing it across the open field.

My buddy got his first sit of the year in on the opposite side of the crack pasture, I mean lesbian lagoon.
It was almost over before it started. He missed a 10 point with a drop tine at 40 yards. Figures... I've hunted my ass off and he sits down for five minutes and has a stud in front Of him.

He ended up seeing another shooter that he thought was going across the field to me but I never saw him.

I relocated at 11:00 to across the upper ilex where I saw the 6 and most if the action the last 3 days.

Evening will be spent at flag football games :(

Back at it tomorrow but the winds look like it'll be a ground hunt.
