31-32 is where it gets ya. Through most of my 20s I was mid 180s. About 29 I hit 200 but stayed between 193-200. Now that I'm almost 33 seems I stayed between 210-215. Just start eating better. You don't have to give stuff up. Just have it in moderation. Pound the natural foods like. Meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, dairy etc.

Yep. The early 30's is when I started putting on some lbs. Last spring I really started increasing the cardio along with doing lower weight / higher rep workouts. That combined with good eating (the wife is awesome at planning our meals out) has me down about 20 lbs. I'm in better shape now (physically and according to my blood work) at 37 than I was in my early 30's.

With a side of granola?

Thats some hippy shit there buddy !

J/k. Keep it up man. Your definitely eating alot healthier then most. I ate a half of sub and a couple pieces of stromboli for breakfast....

I know. Lol. I'm tired of eating all this chemical laden crap they call food. Ever read the back of lunch meat. Holy crap. No sense in it. Between the chemicals, preservatives, processed grain fillers and God knows what else, shit can't be good for you. No way in hell that eating massive amounts of man made chemicals that you can't pronounce is ever good for you. I'm just going back to the basics man. Doesn't mean I can't have ham, just no processed ham with additives. Not that I can't have potatoes, just no Betty Crocker Frankenstein in a box processed potatoes.

Thats awesome Joe. We go back and forth between trying to eat healthy and not giving a shit.

We know a good amount of folks that wont touch processed food. Its always interesting to go over places like that for dinner and get the full experience on eating right.

My one buddy and his wife are pretty extreme about it. Their dehydrator always seems to be running and they put an emphasis on 'raw' food. Pretty intersting

Good work Joe. That's the way to do it. Not that a occasional doughnut is bad.

Nothing wrong with that at all. It's all about balance.

Tonight's dinner was pork shoulder country style ribs on the grill, saffron rice, and home canned green beans.

I was 226.0 this morning putting me down 15 pounds in 12 days. I feel remarkably better and it serves as a good reminder of how important diet, H20 intake and exercise are for sound living. I'm a busy, busy man and as I age, I'll need this vessel to be in good enough shape to keep up with this crazy spirit inside!

I had a yogurt and glass of water at 7. Brought an apple and beef jerky to get me through until lunch. Progresso Heart Healthy chicken noodle for lunch. Early dinner so I won't need an afternoon snack, but I have some smoked cheddar with me if needed. Dinner is cabbage and kielbasa.

My big struggle has been sweets that last few days. I used to have something sweet with milk before bed EVERY night and it has been 2 weeks since that has happened. I so want a brownie with milk!!!

I started Jan 20th eating better and I am down nine pounds to 190. When the weather turns, I'm gonna start running. I'd really like to hit the gym, but with Kate in school and my work schedule, I don't believe I could commit to going on a regular basis. Thinking about installing a pullup bar and a jump rope, and building me couple jump boxes and doing some plyometric type stuff here around the house when I'm off. I've got an old bowflex to use for lightweight training, but the resistance weights have lost some of their tension, so I can't get real crazy.

Great stuff guys! Amazing what just making a few good choices a day will do as you guys are proving.

Joe, I don't know how ya do it. Chemicals are around every corner and the cost of good food is crazy.

I am stuck at 205 until I can get some exercise in, which will happen when the weather warms up. I have topped out at 222 multiple times since college when my real fighting weight is 180-190. I haven't been below 200 since 2010. Looking forward to seeing you guys continue to progress!

I was 225 this morning and damnit, I'm enjoys a cheat day. My dad is home from the hospital so I'm making a family meal. Penne pasta in meat sauce topped with pepperoni, bread crumps and shredded cheese. Even having garlic bread. Just a carb load of a day! LOL
