Spent this evening finishing up my new mobile set up and shooting my bow. With DD showing back up, I want to make sure I'm clicking on all cylinders. Tonight I shot some G5 Montec CS's next to my Slick Trick Magnums and I'm going with the Montecs. They fly like darts out of my set up, while the STs want to fall off to the right. I killed my 2012 buck with a Montec CS, so maybe there's something there!

In an effort to make sure I was ready for the pressure of having the biggest buck of my life in front of me, I would sprint from the target to the spot I was shooting from and launch the broadhead practice arrow within 15-20 seconds. It was a confidence booster! I feel like I'm ready!

Beautiful scenery if nothing else. Good luck. Tracie said your sprint to the target and back is 3 seconds slower than it was 5 years ago. Lol

I feel your pain in the slow department. That is a great way to practice though. Hope you get a shot at him. Dandy dandy dandy of a deer.

I used to do the same thing, Jesse. These days, I'm not running for anything! :) Well done, going the extra mile kinda stuff!

Farmer called me tonight to tell me he was headed over to pick corn and asked me to meet him to show him what I wanted to leave standing. He let me ride in the combine, which was awesome cause I've never been in one! He left me more than I was expecting, so I'm tickled. But what he had to say about deer made me even happier. This guy is in his 50s and has been picking corn at night for decades, so he's seen some great bucks. He told me that earlier in the week, he saw the biggest buck he's ever seen at his farm. Said it was a true monster. The best part? His farm is well within travel range of ours come rut time! I showed him DD and he said: "Not him, even bigger." Needless to say, I'm pumped for what's ahead!

I have no idea, but I'm sure there are already people hunting it. I don't like to intrude. I have enough ground to hunt and good deer to chase, no sense in getting carried away.
