Nothing in the trap but I did get them on Cams lol. Pics don't lie and after seeing the one last night and hearing them fighting I knew there was more. When I went out there this morning I figured the trap would be empty but I wanted the cards out of the cams. I wasn't disappointed when I looked at them when I got home.

Moved the trap this morning as well so that it's easier for the coon to get to and harder for the cats. See what I have tomorrow morning lol.

I may have missed it somewhere, but what are you using for bait? I always use peanut butter. They can't resist!

Marsh mellows since it was (until this morning) inside the peacocks pen. I added some corn to go with it this morning when I moved it to the rafters. I might add a can of tuna if the corn doesn't bring them in. Just poke a few holes in the lid of the tuna can with the knife and let that smell work through the barn to bring them into the trap lol.

Success !!!!

I set both traps this morning one in the rafters and the other back by the doorway that divides the barn. I decided to go out at 10pm and check just to make sure no cats was in the new trap by the doorway. I open the small side sliding door and look up....BAM had one. Then walk a few more feet and turn the corner and look back by the next doorway...BAM had number 2 back there lmao. Neither faired TOO well in the end :smiley_clap:

Both males. I think they all are from the same litter and just never dispersed since there was food available and all the snow we had this past year. Glad to get rid of them and so are the landowners. Traps are both set and ready to play again for the late night runners lol.

Good lord son, you are putting Badger to shame!

I don't know about all that lmao. He would probably run circles around me lol. I do see where trappers get the excitement and rush though :). I forgot all about that since I haven't done any live trapping since I first got my hunting license lol. Poor tree rats in the yard hated me for years for trapping them in that trap lmao.

One lesson I have learned from all this. Make sure there isn't anything within 12" of that cage because they will grab it and pull it into the cage with them lol.

The one I got this morning if you look close to the picture of it in the trap you can see a white bag with yellow. That was a white feed bag that was laying about 10" from the trap. She grabbed it and started tearing the shit out of it and pulled a bunch of yellow nylon rope in there along with the shredded bag. I couldn't get it pulled out from between the bars so I had to carry the trap and the bag outside. Shot her and had to fight to get the rope and feed bag pulled back out of the trap lol.

It is loaded and both traps baited. If I don't get anything tonight or in the morning the trail cams go back in and go to work.

One other thing I picked up on is standing the cage on end. They always want to stand up and that makes it much easier to drive a .22 through the head and down into the body so your not tearing up the trap with bullets.

Always something new to learn :).

I got #7 this morning. He was a smaller one and more the size of the 2nd one I got. Looks like they are about a month or 2 younger then the other I have been getting.

Only problem with these smaller ones is they bleed like a stuck pig. Had to bring the trap home and get it cleaned out. Back at it later this afternoon and get them reset.
