Are they breaking up in search of new hens?
That is what I am noticing where I am hunting... Had to separate gobblers with separate hens. Bought time on Monday all 12 gobblers were 3 trees apart from each other.

I still saw all 5 Tom's today in a group with hens out in the field. Then I had a Tom with a hen in the Alfalfa, thought I had him dead until the hen started dusting herself and he left. That is what I am noticing where I am hunting... I hope the second week is better for me, I can't seem to pull these gobblers off the hens.I'm not sure. They do this on our place from time to time. Last year week one sucked but week 2 was a blast.

And I missed another gobbler, time to check the bows sights.
