Wrapped up a pretty good consistent week with a long (30 minutes, 8.25 mile) bike ride today. Felt good to do that instead of bike after lifting so maybe I'll do that again tomorrow and hit the weights again on Monday. Really watching what I'm eating. Feels good to feel good.

Great lift plus 35 minutes on the bike (the last 15 minutes was lighter and while I was talking, but still moving!)

Fells good!

Had a good run last night. Did four miles on the treadmill in 31:35. Still holding around 171, but that was partly due to a weekend of traveling. Did not eat the best and did miss my Friday workout.

Dang that is quick Schu for that kind of distance! I am doing 3 miles in just under 30 minutes. Good job! If I am doing just a mile I am right at 7 minutes without killing myself.

I still havent tried to run yet...I have been doing the fat burn on the treadill on level 9...walk at 4.3 mph, then it goes up to level 9 incline, then back down...then run at 5.5, then walk...it repeats..I have been doing about 25 min on that, and I feel really good. I have been burning soem fat thats for sure.

I never did cardio or ab work, and it making a difference this time around. My abs will never show up, but if I can get my chest bigger than my belly, I will be happy hahahaha

The big weekend is coming up! My first major goal was to be 215 by our alumni basketball tournament this weekend. I was 214 this morning and I have a feeling 210 might be possible by the weekend. I know I'm in much better shape than last year, which was downright miserable at 230ish. I'm not 18 any more, but at least I don't feel 48 any more either!

Next serious goal is 205 by May 15th, which is our first baseball game. I'd like to have settled in around the 195-205 range by deer season, with new and positive habits that will hopefully last a life time!

That's me dude! I looked like you turned the fat me 180 degrees from shoulders to belly button! My chest, arms, and shoulders are as big as they have ever been. I'm not huge, but I've finally put some muscle on my bigger frame. I haven't lifted religiously since I was 18 with a 5'10" , 160 pound pencil! So having a bigger frame has really helped in those areas...

Thanks...I'm making progress. I really want to get out on the pavement. All this treadmill stuff is depressing me. BTW, on my last 10K (6.2 miles) race I averaged 7:08 miles . :smiley_bril:

you were already a pretty broad shouldered guy so you had that to your advantage...you still have to feel so much better with that weight off bro. I know now that 3/4 of my belly fat is gone i just feel "lighter" I guess I would say...even though I have definately gained alot of muscle back.

I actually ran on my off day yesterday! I got a spur in my ass to run to the end of the road and back (1.5 miles) which I did in a little over 20 minutes counting my 90 second breather at the turn around. Not blazing fast, but it was the best road run I've had in a long time. I might give that some more effort this summer.

I was down to 212.4 this morning which is the lowest I've seen (twice now) since starting the weight loss kick. I was back at 215 Monday morning thanks to a shitty weekend of eating. The bee pollen seems to be working and I hope tomorrow will be my lightest day in years...

as in detox? does it make you poop alot?

I heard it would, but it has actually made me more regular. The difference is I am dropping elephant dumps once a day now, instead of struggling 5-6 times a day. Not sure if that will change, but I like having a belt loosening poo session once a day! I definitely notice the energy level and it seems to be working on the weight. It's only Day 3, so time will tell. But I'm happy so far...

Last night I did three one mile intervals. Did my regular warm up then ran a 7:41 mile, walked for 3 minutes, ran a 7:32 mile, walked for 3 minutes, ran a 7:24 mile, then my 5 minute cool down . Just something different. Morning weight was still 171.
