Holy cow!!!!! It just exploded. Rut is on!!!! Saw button and mom and then two more doe. Then one small 8 scent checking. Then a forkhorn with a damaged eye. Then I heard deep loud grunts and this boy walks in. Wow, wow, wow! Never saw so much rut in the afternoon. View attachment 67839
GPS Coordinates Please ....Forget stealing credit card info I need an app to pull GPS Coordinates to find where ya'll are hunting lol. Better yet when more wireless trail cam units become popular build an app that somehow taps into everyone's within a radius than is able to extrapolate rack sizes based on pictures. Then I could use that to filter estimated rack size and compile the data then using GPS coordinates create an isopleth (i.e. simlar to a heat map) of density of deer of that filter. Mwah hah ha.

Soon after that lone fawn, it's twin came in from the thicket. I could see deer darting in & out & one of them was a buck. Another doe came in from the thicket as well & the two fawns eventually left. Two more deer started to come in, then a very small 8pt came in from the thicket & I didn't recognize him as the harasser& chased them off. It was getting too dark to shoot anything, I was packing up & I heard grunting behind me. Another 8pt came in & I figured he was the harasser. He couldn't figure me out as I was standing & he eventually went back to the thicket. Then, as I was just about to leave, two more came down from above. One went to the thicket, & I could still hear the other, yet didn't know for sure what they were or where. I didn't have that far to get out of the woods, but I grunted my way out. Didn't bust any. I stayed all day.

This beats the cable Outdoor Channel any day of the week. The 'LIVE' version that is...

Now I just need that shooter buck that was with him earlier this morning to do the same thing ;)

They're cruising today fellas.

Good luck!

Nothing but coyotes this evening.

I pulled the SD card out of the TC and it captured a different view of my young buck encounter I had this morning.

It's an hour 'TOO' fast cause I haven't made the change for daylight savings yet.

Have a great evening 'TOO'ville!

I'll be back at it again tomorrow.

Good night!!!

I think this is the one Joy had in at 35 yds. Was afraid to shoot that far when getting dark. (Gets dark in that low spot between woods quick) Said he left without issues. She was covered up with about 14 different doe tonight. Think that is where she needs to be tomorrow evening.

I hunted 11 hours today. Big buck in the morning at 7:30 or so, little buck right around noon. That was it until I was about to leave the blind at dark. Heard footsteps and had deer all around me. I don’t even know how many but it seemed like they were literally surrounding me. Too dark to see if antlers were on any of them but one looked like a horse in the dark.

Few hours to hunt in the morning and then I better go to work. Stupid bills. Good news is, deer are back! I think the next week is going to be good around here.
