I've been back out since shortly after the rain stopped @1:00 pm.

Wind changed to the opposite direction from this morning, now from the West with increased intensity.

I got settled in @1:30 and at the moment, my neighbor's dog just started barking, which is a good indication that deer may be on the move, either towards or away from me.

They live near the creek 'TOO' and their dog has yet to fail me when he starts barking.

Anyhow, good luck 'TOO' Hunters!

I am back out. Was supposed to take a youth hunter but her crossbow was nowhere near sighted in so she elected to hang out with my wife. Feels like blood in the air.

Lots of does out. One yearling being harassed by a button buck. Lots of bleating between mature does and fawns. Not sure if they busted me but they all got real squirly and left.

I’m out, was out for about 5 hours in the rain this morning, saw one borderline shooter, who looked to grow in to a shooter as he walked away.

The wind is currently “fisting” me in every Wich way it can. “Not really enjoying that” Anyhow I’m thinking it’s probably going to get drunk out tonight, 90 percent plus chance of that.
Make tommrow morning A real pleasure to be out in.. Some of my best days have been some of my worse feeling days! Figure it’s time to switch some shit up. God has a great sense of humor. All in all A bad day in the woods or any day in the woods, is one step closer to success. Good luck TOO

Thanks guys for all the congrats. It was an amazing night. We only had a half hour and I was planning on just sitting and enjoying my time with my son. But then a doe came flying in with a buck behind her. She started our way then veered off. He continued towards us but then started to follow the doe. I voice grunted which stopped him (behind a tree of course), and he wouldn’t move. My son decided to voice grunt, which admittedly miffed me at first. Apparently if confused the buck. He stepped out at 35 yards to see what the noise was. He then looked like he was going to head to where the doe went so I told my son to take a shot if he was ready. God definitely blessed his arrow… Right through the heart. Deer ran 30 yards and collapsed. Check out the girth! View attachment 67915View attachment 67916
Congrats! Those antlers look like butter knives at the ends!

Ended up seeing a decent buck that I would have shot about 15 minutes after my last post. He didn't follow the trail so I grunted at him. He either didn't hear it or didn't care lol. He got a little further and I rolled the doe bleat. With the wind he didn't hear it. I hit the doe bleat with my grunt tube and he snapped his head up and looked around for like 2.5 seconds and continued walking and eating. About 10 minutes after that I seen a little 4pt with nose to the ground running around.

At least I seen some tonight. Deffinently not going to complain about that.
