I’m tired of hearing “first real challenge”. We’ve heard that song and dance almost every weekend this year. We are the real deal. We dominated both sides of the ball tonight with some major turnovers...and still won. A lot of teams struggled today, big deal. That is what is so great about college football.

I slept on it and am still laughing at Joe saying it's just Penn State. Brother, I love ya, but that's an ignorant statement that let's your bias show through. An appropriate comparison would be a Big Ten fan saying "it's just Georgia", or hell, even LSU based on the historical data below. And we all know damn well you didn't day "it's just LSU" a few weeks ago...

Meanwhile Michigan fans saying, it's just Appalachian State 🤣

reality is that all season long, the only team that could beat OSU is OSU. that was a good win for a team that has really not had to compete beyond the third quarter for the entire season. PSU defense brought it, big time, but they still could not stop the run, really. they forced three fumbles and were able to turn that into points. turnovers are always a game wrecker, but statistically the Buckeye's completely dominated the game in every way. a touchdown instead of a fumble on the one foot line changes the entire complexion of the game. ball security has not been an issue all season, and I don't imagine it will be again. PSU defense deserves their props for keeping the game close, if only in appearance. this was the perfect time for OSU to stub their toe a little.

stats don't mean much this week, but OSU is superior to Michigan on paper and in reality in all three phases of the game. not as much riding on this game as there is most of the time. Buckeye's have a little more at stake, but I'm not sure a close loss to a tremendously improved Michigan team will have much bearing on their chances to make the playoff. gonna be a fun game to watch, and I expect something very similar to what we saw yesterday. OSU defense stands tall, offense just too much for Michigan defense, even on the road. like always, this game will come down to turnovers, penalties, and who can run the ball better.

It's was just penn state. My reference was to how it was stated that it might be the bucks "First real Test". It went just about how I expected, actually better. The bucks dominated that entire game except for 4 minutes in the third and had them at 21-0 until then. If it wasn't for that measly 4 minutes in the third the bucks would have shut them out and put a couple more touchdowns on the board. A few critical turnovers played a huge role. Yeah penn deserves some credit for that but mostly it was a lapse by the Bucks. OSU still finished with +250 total yards and +10 minutes time of possession in the game.

Theres a big difference between historical win loss records and what a team currently is. LSU is operating lights out compared to years past so such a statement today would be stupid, two years ago not so much. I don't judge a team by the 47 they won, that's polluted with a bunch of garbage wins like Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Louisiana tech, it's the 17 they lost that matters because if you boil it down, those are largely the games that matter against tough opponents. Granted anyone can lose to anyone, like getting whipped by Purdue. But even after that loss "it was still just purdue".

Coming out after halftime, the rain had started pretty good. The way those fumbles happened makes me wonder if they didn't grab the wrong gloves or something? In the end it doesn't matter. Just seemed odd.

Joe. . .keep going. We know you would argue the sky is green just for the sake of argument.

You were correct in the PSU vs Minn game. It wasn't PSU. It was Iowa that beat Minn.

What's pretty obvious to me is no matter my statement, be it honest criticism or a true compliment you guys will accuse me of bias because I'm a Bama fan. I say good things about the OSU program this year and show optimism, and the result is the same. Talk about people being bias, how about just shut up and say thank you. 😅

I can’t say thank you if I’m shutting up. 😂

Let’s move on, it’s the week of FUCK the team up north!!! Let’s see those memes. 😂

There's the rivalry and away factor with that game but if OSU plays like OSU is capable of then they'll be just fine. Michigan has the home field advantage and would love nothing more than to knock the buckeyes down a peg, not to mention avenge an embarrassing slaughter last year. There was an early upset alert when Michigan played Indiana and Ind went up 14 point on them early but Michigan managed to pull it together and start playing. OSU needs to come out early and put 21 on the board before the half. Michigan has been a notorious half a game team this year. If OSU does that then it'll be unrecoverable for Michigan.

Heart can only get you so far. One of the greatest things about watching the buckeyes this year is that things don’t repeat. They will fix the problem they had this last weekend and press forward. I see us putting on a clinic next weekend.

Yep. Like I said even early season, I don't see any glaring flaws. Very versatile and playing as a team. That defense even without chase is a beast. And a dual-threat offense with the RPO. Is it going to Dobbins, the slant, or a long route? That's very hard to read and cover with multiple options available. All the halmarks of a championship team. They can only beat themselves.

The game yesterday was definitely the most important game to win. they are going to the Big 10 Championship game now no matter what happens next Saturday. I suspect that had an impact on the coaches and their preparation for Penn St. that pressure is off now. Coaches and players can relax and do their jobs just like they have all season. if they play loose and confident, they will win by more than a couple of scores. I wonder if Harbaugh is having nightmares about Chase Young yet.

Easy there Skipper. You can get your credit where deserved. You have not bashed the Buckeyes this year. I'm just saying there is no winning a debate with you once your mind is made up.

TOO: Joe, you are refusing to budge and not listen to other opinions.
Joe:. No I'm not! 🤣🤣🤣
