Hunting Public videos, beer, and my dogs. It's a pleasant evening after the storm cooled things off 20 degrees. I guess this is what they meant when the said the dog days of summer.

Dogs got into it twice today for the first time ever. The second time, Lulu got tore up. May be visiting the vet tomorrow or Monday. We'll see how the Vetericyn works first. It did wonders for Gunnar's foot, so fingers crossed.

I'm more worried about what's behind it. I didn't see either start, but they were legit dog fights by the time I broke it up. Lulu thinks she runs the show and they other two disagree. If I can get the problem solved, we may have a real issue to deal with.

Dogs can change after having pups. We had to get rid of our Saddy afterwards. Just couldn’t trust her around the kids. I hope you get it figured out before it comes to that. 😔

sometimes they have to scrap a little to work it out, and I think it's best to let them do that unless they are seriously hurting each other and you have to intervene. as long as they both know who the REAL boss is, they will work it out. I've only had to break up my two one time. I happened to see it start and it was all Lefty being an asshole over food, Slick just defending himself. zero tolerance for food aggression here. Once I gave them both the smackdown, it has not been a problem. I'm pretty lucky to have two headstrong male dogs that get along so well. I couldn't have it any other way.

So, my neighbors have a Brittney. They always have one. When one dies out, they run out & get another one. They have a new pup...5 months old ? They're trying to train the damn thing. Full of piss & vinegar at this point of course. They don't always use a leash, so it's running around the houses & bumping deer. It almost got hit in someone's driveway one time. It is fun to watch the owners chase her down just the same, as my dog just lays there & watches. Another thing, when they call for the dog, they sing her name. It just crawls underneath my skin. Keep in mind the crazy squirrel lady lives next to them. That is my life. Anyway, another neighbor has a fenced in yard & this pup will somehow get inside to play with their dog. It's fun to watch Brits owner try to get it out. Anyway , today, that damn dog was out running around over by the fence & that owner actually let the dog in to play. That pup got underneath the porch & made a muddy mess out of itself. The owner eventually found her & wasn't too pleased when finding out she was let in. What a hoot ! I doubt he'll learn to use the leash more often just the same.

Jackson will be 17 weeks old tomorrow and is looking more like a dog and less like a puppy every day. He went to the vet a couple days ago for his final booster shots and his rabies. Weighed in at 32 pounds. He’s all legs at this point 🦩. Next trip to see the good doc won’t be until he’s ready for ✂️🍒. He’s coming along quite nicely for an inbred Appalachian 😎
