Got a dandy Mahi on the Tupperware today. The Emerald Coast doesn't disappoint - got a solid 6# gray triggerfish as well.

What kind of shark is that? I’m guessing sand or brown shark…Just now seeing this thread. I love fishing. Its a different kind of love then hunting for me. Nothing like sitting on the edge of the earth catching an apex predator from the beach, waves crashing around you under the milkyway. I went solo this year, drove out on the beach around midnight maybe. Nobody around in sight. Quite an erie yet peaceful feeling. Yet to find a replacement for this.
Its a Blacktip I believe, although they look very to spinner sharks. The dorsal is too small for a sandbar, which is another common shark for NC. Sharks can be really hard to ID.What kind of shark is that? I’m guessing sand or brown shark…
