Thanks guys! I felt weird being here at first because the family before me built the house. The daughter was in charge of the estate and she had just lost her husband and dad (owner of the house) within a week so she was in no condition to go through stuff. There wasn't anything personal, just random stuff thrh left behind. I told her she could leave whatever she needed to, to make it easier on her. There was a lot left here and I felt like I just took over his life. Hell, the husband and wifes ashes were in the closet when I first looked at the house!

As I'm putting in the work its feeling like mine. I'm the type of guy who has to earn things. Even after paying for it!

I switched out that rope for a plow strap. The rope was digging in on itself and it was only a matter of time before it failed. I only use the winch for that can hauler and some of the cans are heavy so the strap is a better fit. The strap is awesome for that purpose.

Dangit! I decided to clear a patch of brush so the wife could plant her lilacs. I think I'll wait until winter to do any more clearing of brush!

My wife removed it and I promptly cut the beard off!! I keep my head really short but the beard is the only place to hide. Not any more.

I tried to convince my wife we need that, but she isn't having any of it. She prefers all natural things. I suppose I can't blame her, but sometimes life calls for nuclear warfare! She had this stuff, but I honestly did not use it that day. So I will be spraying up from now on when I'll be in the yard. This can be applied to clothing and skin from what it says.

Had a shitty day on The Hill today. Had to put my Malinois to sleep. He was my dingus and he will be missed. Thankfully he had a great last 6 months here in God's country. He had liver cancer and he went quick. A month ago he started losing weight and just wasted away since then. My wife was throwing everything at him and I think it did give us an extra few days, but it was inevitable. He was weak but had good spirits. Last night was a bad night and he had a scared/pain look in his eye. We knew today was the day and tonight was going to be bad. He couldn't stand on his own anymore. Almost made 9 years old.

Damn dogs get in your heart and take a piece of you with them when they go.
