Heard 0 yesterday and got one to gobble 1 time at an owl call from the roost today. It appears they have shut down in my area but i'll continue going out each am with hopes of finding Addy one.... It aint no fun when they don't want to play the game....

Nothing for Addy and I today. We were setup before 0530 and only heard 2 very distant gobblers from the roost, nothing close at all. It was a perfect calm morning too. I think she will take a few days off and ill go scouting and see if i can find her one.

Ruger lcr .38 with crimson trace laser grips is what my wife carries.

Addy and i were set up within 100 yds or so of a gobbler before daylight. He gobbled 4 times on the roost and silent after flying down. Seen a couple hens and heard another distant gobbler. Gonna take a break tomorrow, for being only 12 she is a trooper, but i know she is getting burned out...

Three gobbling their heads off behind my work right now....being "essential" sucks sometimes....

I had to get it taken care of and get to work, lol....these moments never happen when I have the entire day off...how are you to supposed to go to work after a morning like that?

Drew killed a good one this am! We were setup for Addy to do the shooting and Drew was gonna bat cleanup. This old tom made the mistake of giving Drew a shot. One of the most epic days in the turkey woods that I've experienced in 30 years of chasing these things! We almost had Addy one as well...

Went out to scout for the kids. Listened to one gobble for an hr. Finally decided to wake addy up and go after him. In typical turk ways he is now silent...should of got her up at 1st gobble but then he would of shut up when he hit the ground....wind died down and sun is out now...

Best morning of the season..unfortunately neither kid went with me, dang!

No bird for us today. Seen 5 hens with no gobbler in tow...very little gobbling and the few we heard were way off. Heard one single shot. Never been much for hunting afternoons and evenings...probably done until tomorrow am...

Kids had one 50 yds away or so...Addy had safety off and we all thought it was gonna happen but we just couldn't make him dead....single shot acrossed from us after he shut up....maybe next time...way too windy for my liking but we were still in the game. Heard atleast 3 or 4 at the other spot...

Much different this am....plenty of gobbles! We shall see what tomorrow brings!

I haven't heard a single gobble the last couple of mornings...i know they are there and both kids are ready!

High on a ridge listening to little birds singing...waiting on the best sound in the spring....then i gotta get to work....
