What a morning. One doe at daybreak. Doe with twins at sunrise. Then one buck came in...then a second. Then a third. Then a 4th. All with 50 yards of each other. First two came in range but weren’t shooters. Last two were too far out and were following doe out of range. No interest in grunts...

Neighbor started yard work (and yelling to no one in particular in the process) and I figured that was my hunt. Two seconds later a mom and 2 bb’s showed. Is it just me or is every fawn out there a BB this year? I’m joking but I don’t remember seeing this many BB’s

Sure thought I’d see some action this am since we finally have a west wind. But only a fox and a garbage truck so far. And I don’t have a tag to bag the truck.

I agree but I have also successfully used Tinks 69 over the years. I have had bucks literally follow my trail to my stand. I think a lot of people mess up by not using scents when they should (e.g., time of year) or how they should.

Back in the saddle again. Nice cool morning though I wish the wind was a little stronger. Praying you all have a great hunt.

Doe and BB feeding early. Hoping the live bait works.

Mom and twins came back. Were here for no more than 5 min when wider but still young 8 pt buck just came through and started chasing them. No grunting this time but wow...lots of action!

Mom and twins (1bb) came in and were just hanging out eating. They look up about 15 later and I see a 7 pt (1.5) busting in sniffing and grunting. Chases mom off and grunts back into sight chasing twins. Again, nose to the air sniffing and chasing and grunting loud. Didn’t expect to see that...

Yeah. Supposed to turn N then NE then E about 7 ok and stay that way til mon night here. Came out anyway to see if I could catch it before it did.

First morning out. Missed all you guys. One question...catching up on forum and seeing lots of pics but no one is wearing their fancy blue surgical masks. Aren’t you all afraid of giving dem deers dat coveed disease?

That’s what I was thinking and just then a small basket 8 came in and broke them up. Rut is apparently still getting on.

Just had two yearlings normally with mom walk by alone. Momma must be out dating.

Back in the saddle again. Just needed some quiet time in the woods. Amen!

LOL..I literally found at least five trees he half destroyed in the area… I mean I’m guessing he’s the one that did it
