Bent but didn't break. Congrats guys. First half looked dominant looking at the numbers. In the end the stats say it could have gone either way but, it appears as though while outplayed on the field the bucks came up and made the stops when it mattered. If only they would have played both halves it would have been a way better story.

I'm hoping Ryan Day is the spark we need. Urban is a great coach, CEO, and recruiter. I don't think he did a great job of getting them to play with heart this year. Hopefully Ryan Day will dig that desire and hunger out of the 2019 Buckeyes. They say Day is more of a "players coach." We shall see.

Which is exactly what you guys need. The talent is there, you can see flashes of it. But it seems to vaporize. My observation has always been they aren't playing to make the coach proud or doing it for someone else. They just seem to go through the motions and their assignments. They need inspiration to make them put that talent on the field.

Yup, I just said that in a text😂

Day will be good for awhile no doubt. If anyone thinks OSU won't take a step back over the next few years, your in for it. IMO, Urban is second best college football coach ever behind Saban. He'll probably still outcoach Harbaugh

Yeah well keep it up any you'll be permanantly banished to the slightly down range isolation pavillion at the summer shoot again. 😂
This place is slipping so fast we'll be lucky to see a summer shoot.:ROFLMAO: And down range is not a bad place to be anyhow...I didn't have to travel near as far as you guys did to have deer&bacon burgers.

Terrible you can go 13-1 and still be disappointed. Better than being thankful for 9-3 I guess. Hell, we couldn't even finish what we started today. Typical of this team.

the only time this team looked "great" all season was on the rare occasions when they played confident and dominant, like against Michigan. the rest of the time they seemed to lose focus or were just plain confused, hence all the stupid penalties, dropped balls, poor angles/tackling and giving up big plays on defense. by the end of the season the "they are a young team" excuse doesn't work for me any longer. I saw guys making plays in the last two games that I'd not seen on the field before. who is that number 11 on the d-line? looks promising.

they did not play dominantly in the second half, just played to not lose on both sides of the ball. Washington is a good team and deserves their props for making a game of it, but we should have won by three or four scores.

our linebackers were out of position the whole damn game, again. I think we need a new linebacker coach. did our entire offensive team get locked in the locker room at halftime? another disappointing win in a lack-luster season. I'm glad it's over.

it is very confusing and annoying when your teams record is 13-1, you demolish your arch rival, win your conference championship and the Rose Bowl against a good team all in one season and still feel dissatisfied. is this an Buckeye thing, just me, or is it like this for fans of every elite college football program?

I am glad they won, glad they beat Michigan, glad this season is over. Looking forward to a good championship game and getting on with life after college football this year. There was enough talent and glimpses of a high caliber team that keep me enegaged, but wish I used most of those Saturdays for other things now lol.

I actually did do more hunting after that pathetic loss to Purdue. Heck, I turned it off at Halftime and watched a Nightmare On Elm St. sequel and it was less scary than that POS half I just watched!😂
Congratulations to Urban on another “a wins a win game” and Rose Bowl victory. I wish him all the best and thank him for all his successes while coaching our Buckeye program. Hopefully someday he might be our next AD, we shall see.
Seriously though, I am ready for a change though be it bringing some rough roads ahead under Ryan Day’s control. IMO, the players played better the first 3 games than they did under UM for the most of the remainder of the season. I hope RD does the smart thing and the right thing and gets rid of a few coaches on our defense, like ALL of them! Our LB Corp. is the WORSE I’ve seen play over my entire life going all the way back to mid 70’s. Not only were they slow, took bad angles and missed tackles but Borland and Werner looked lost all season long! Our safeties made way more tackles than any than I’ve ever seen which often led to the opposing team getting huge gains and first downs. Our corners weren’t much better but they could have been had a coach taught them fundamentals like turning your head around and playing the ball like a receiver. It would have made a world of difference and better prepared them for the next level. White,Fuller and Wade showed the most promise and consistency toward the end of the season. Did anyone else hear Herb and Davis talking during their commentary in the second half about our defensive back 7? Not one of them were voted on by the BI6 coaches as consensus 1,2 or 3 team all B16 teams! NOT ONE!!!! Only Fuller made 2nd Team voted by the players I think. I think that spoke volumes as to why our defense SUCKED ASS this season and in my opinion it starts with COACHING! If that is the best we have to put on the field then we’ll struggle next year as well but I think this team does have talent. They just need coached up better and some need replaced, IMO.
As others felt last night, I felt like we lost after time expired in the game. I also feel had the game lasted 3-5 more minutes or until Wash had one more possession we were going to blow it. They out played us the entire second half and took over the momentum. Our players and coaches assholes were puckered so tight they were just trying to hang on after getting away from doing what they did the entire first half. I’m sick and tired of conservative and predictable play calling so I hope this change is taking the OSU program into the opposite direction. GO BUCKS!

I was stoked when we hired Schiano. I'd like to see him fired now. Our LB play is embarrassing.

That's putting it mildly. I understand the attrition lately of losing players early every year to the draft, but the defense was getting gashed a lot this year. And usually by teams that had no business doing it.

Oh, huge kudo’s to the OSU receivers/ends and Haskins on a great year and also to our DL. Clearly a best units this year. Our OL was too inconsistent in run blocking and penalties to give us much of a balance with a run game. Weber and Dobbins did the best with what they could, imo.
