2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

You forgot thousands of deaths -

People are going to die from covid for a long long time to come. Just as the flu has been killing people for a long long time, and will continue to for the foreseeable future. It's time that the powers that be ripped off the truth bandaid and said "This is here to stay. If we're lucky to live to old age, it will be one of the things that contributes to our death"

Covid isn't going away. Just as the common cold isn't going away. Accommodations will have to be made for those with health issues and a therapeutic booster regiment established for those who want it. We can't eradicate something with a vaccine if we're still able to become infected by it, or if it can adapt. Just like we haven't eradicated the flu. Look at polio, there hasn't been a single case that originated in the US since 1979. Because the vaccine gives real immunity and creates a transmission barrier so it eventually died out. The cold which is a common coronavirus mutates, the flu mutates, Covid-19 mutates. The current therapeutic vaccine for covid offers hope, and has saved countless lives, it's also destroyed a great number. But the end justifies the means right. Greater good type thing

IDK - agree - world wide pandemic compounds everything - maybe your kids will see a true vaccine like the polio vaccine in their lifetime - hope sooner - I was early on with the polio vaccine - whole town marched thru the gym and got a sugar cube with the oral vaccine - don't remember a big resistance to the vaccine - just trusted the science i guess - but we didn't have the information network like today - shit i never thought about it I took my sugar cube and moved on - different times

Yeah barring a Nobel peace prize winning breakthrough in medical science the best they can do is chase the spike protien mutations and continue to make therapeutic injections that lessen severity. Ongoing booster shots for everyone.

Couple “odd” occurrences thought I’d share. Came back from a salmon fishing trip a few weeks ago. Every single one of us (even the ones that didn’t tag along) woke up Monday morning sick. Body aches, headaches, slight fever, etc. 4 of the 7 had been vaccinated and had the symptoms all week, the other 3 kicked it in about 8 hours…thought it was weird

I don’t know a single Unvaccinated person who’s tested positive for covid in months. I now know of multiple people who’ve tested positive that have received the vaccine. What about that 2%?

My wife’s hospital today told them to “brace for the 3rd wave” and to “have all 8 covid floors ready”

Again…all odd to me

Same odds I'm seeing. Everyone testing positive has the vaccine. The spike in strokes and blood clots is alarming. I don't think growing older has everything to do with it.

I see lawsuits and more open positions in the future...

Lawsuits are currently fruitless because the employers know the feds have their back through "clarifications" around EEOC laws. They also feel confident their liberal judges will back them. The federal government can't force vaccinations, but they can encourage employers to force it as a condition of employment and support them in the background by removing legal roadblocks.

Ask -> Tell -> Force.
