2019-nCoV (Coronavirus)

Glad you threw the "Fox News" quip out there. Now I understand a little more where you stand. You speak as if the CDC and FDA are on the up and up. They've got more blood on their hands due to greed than any pandemic or single politician.

So what, you think Trump should be telling me how to do my job? Okay fine - Idk if you have kids but should you come into my office. I want you to bring the President's advice for treating your child and I will follow it against my training and the guidelines set by NIH/FDA/AAP (pediatrics).etc

Also, if you are married and your wife is pregnant and feels sick, I will offer her some thalidomide -- I heard it does well with morning sickness.

Well one of the things that makes America great and this web site great is being able to speak our mind without being hammered - we all want the same thing but go down different paths to get there

There is no logic and when it first hit no one had a fucking clue on how to treat it. Drs are learning through trial and error even right now. Drs have killed many by placing on vents that shouldn’t have but that was “best practices” at that time.

Trump was mocking the stupid by saying drink or inject bleach. If you can’t see that, you are lucky you didn’t do it or have survived from it.

In the big picture ain’t no one yet has definitive knowledge on treatment, how it’s transmitted or when you are actually contagious. It’s all a learning process as the medical field gains knowledge as time passes.

Wait, so you don’t want to treat people that follow the president? Or that believe in other treatments? I’m confused, but it sure sounds like you don’t want to do your job because of someone’s beliefs or political followings.

Do you people ever listen to Trump? I actually do, and never heard him say to drink bleach. I did hear him talk about the possibility of using UV light internally- which he was blasted for. And then my cousin told me it was a viable option to look at... I mean who woulda ever thunk it plausible to shoot a laser into a persons eye to improve vision? Or maybe you all are talking about the dumb broad in AZ that treated her husband and herself with pool chemicals? Yeah, Darwin May have been right.

Geezer, Mom and Dad are improving daily. They went for a walk last night. Weak and worn but improving. My brother made it back to work last week. Been a long road for him. He gave em the required 40 hours and went home on time everyday. I think he’s done with going above and beyond.

We are still using ventilators ...
Certainly not as they were being used two months ago. Steroids are also used now, with good effect.
Not that it makes any difference, but I’ll just take the time to let you know simply for my own piece of mind, I’m not a big fan of your tone. Feel free to point out that I know nothing, I’ll not even argue... but I think you’re a dick, no amount of arguing on your part will change my mind. Keep up the good work, I’ll hope my children never need to visit your facility.

I won't wear a mask because I don't like to be told what to do, and I don't like to be told what not to do. I also look at the data and this is no more scary than the flu, CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, etc. Dont like it? Keep your distance and wash your hands. I do the same sans mask.

I just read through about 8 pages to get caught up. My thought is if you are at risk or just worried about exposure, stay home. Have groceries delivered by a delivery service, friends, family etc. and then implement joes cleaning procedure from the start of this thread. I don’t fault any person for wanting to wear a mask but based on what I’ve seen so far regarding the effectiveness of them I don’t see the point. I refuse to accept the path we as a nation are paving for all of our children. I know my boys will have to struggle in some aspects of life but with the narrative we are writing they won’t just struggle at times, they will have to fight for traction with every step they take. I don’t have the perfect solution and even if I did there would still be people who hate it. Let the people willing to take the risk take it without fear of persecution or prosecution and save this economy. 🤘🏻

It was just an expression - sorry - not directed at anyone - i am just having trouble proscessing why wearing a mask in public under the circumstances is an infrignment of your rights - i just don't feel that way - guess i don't measure up - i try and stop post n on this but then feel compelled - guess i got too much time on my hands

How are your folks and brother doing - hope they are well

Keep posting Geezer. Nothing wrong with different opinions. Plus, you are in a different category than most of us. I'd be way more cautious if I had another 30yrs under my belt as well.

Doc- good luck. I realize you are working directly in this field. I have friends and family working the front lines too. Even some of them are questioning what they are being told. Still following orders, but asking more questions. I'll wear my mask if around people. Been doing a pretty good job of simply NOT being around people. Always was OCD on hand washing, so this is no different for me. I might recommend starting on page one of this thread. You might find there have been some swings in opinion as this has progressed. I think people are respecting what it is for the most part. More cautious than before. If it is my time to go, I'm not afraid. Doesn't mean I'm trying to expedite the process. Doesn't mean we need to agree either.
