Heard 0 yesterday and got one to gobble 1 time at an owl call from the roost today. It appears they have shut down in my area but i'll continue going out each am with hopes of finding Addy one....
It aint no fun when they don't want to play the game....

You are correct. Turkey hunting when they are not talking is about the most boring thing a guy can do. I haven’t been out for a week and a half but hope to get out soon. There will be days ahead when they want to come play, I hope.

Yes. They haven't been gobbling hardly at all once they come off the roost. It does make it frustrating. Hopefully they open back up soon.

It was stinking cold this morning! Birds gobbled good on the roost and quiet when they hit the ground. We was fortunate enough to entice 3 hens in and a Tom. The first hen had a beard and was leading the group. Austin dropped the hammer this morning.
Man that’s great! What a season you are having!

You did it!!! Congratulations man. You end up pulling it off all by yourself or did you have help? You gotta share the story! Can’t leave me hanging. You can add it to your other thread to complete the story. 👍🏼 Or here, I just gotta know!

Edit: I searched, you did post that question here. 👍🏼

I decided late in the game to buy a tag. Just wasn't sure how much I'd be able to get out. I hunted public this morning and a bird gobbled his balls off until about 8:30...he was just like 4 properties over and NOT on the public. Never heard a shot, I was hoping someone was hunting him over there because he sounded willing to die. I saw 0 birds and heard 0 birds on the public piece I was on. One other bird gobbled, but he was also across a road on private. Found a couple of good looking spots to kill a deer in the fall, though.

At home here in PA the birds have been pretty much silent once coming off the roost. Good thing is the ODNR is allowing the sale of NR license again tomorrow, so my son can buy another tag to hunt this weekend at camp with me. Hoping we can put something on the ground.
You gonna have any time to hunt while lookin after that new pup? 😉

Hunted yesterday evening in one of my fields and checked a couple cams. Heard nothing. There was also nothing on cam.... that makes 11 days now. It went from all day every day to nothing. I really don’t understand it. I’m dumb and in a box blind in the other field since it’s starting to rain. I’m off until next Friday. Going to try my place through the weekend then try elsewhere if need be.
