Good for you Phil..... The kids will have a blast going out with the old man!!!!! Take some pictures of them and post the first hunts.....

What a great thread!

Yep, i'm going to try and breath some life back in it. I bought this Sig P220 compact off a buddy who is PCSing to Britain.

The P220 compact next to my girlfriends Walther PPS.

It might not be the thinnest carry pistol out there but ill be damned if it doesnt shoot well. Target was at 7 yards.

I'm off base now. Fug the dorms and barracks. had to live in army barracks for a little while because the water main burst in the building i was in. Sad thing is beside from have to share a room with someone the army barracks were nicer than my AF dorm room. Plus you recived an extra $175 a month for living in the barracks. I live with my buddy who is a CCT. We have a small house we are renting. The garage is a work shop for cars and leather working. The CCT guy has a pan head Harley Davidson bike he is fixing up. The little office is a bow shop and armory.

Figured i'd better add my AR in here. She (Nelly) is a DPMS Predator 20" bull barrel. I added a Nikon Pro Staff 3x9x40 on her. Next is a Harris Bi-Pod if i could find any. Its been tough finding ammo, but i have had a little luck.

I cant wait to sight her in. If any of you guys are gonna do some long range shooting let me know, i'd like to get her dialed in to 300 or better if i could.

Very nice additions fellas!

Wayne- Just a thought: Bogpod. I bought one off Tree Monkey when he ordered two on accident. It is sweet. Fits every gun I ever owned and works great for Garrett with his crossbow. Only downside I have seen so far has been the inability to rest a rifle in the tripod with the buttstock on the ground if you need to toss your rifle and pick up the shotgun for up close encounters with coyotes.

I'm picking this up today after work. I have wanted an AR style .22 for a couple of years now and after checking out a Mossberg up close, I knew that was not the one I wanted. I got my hands on this Chiappa the other day and it is a sweet little gun. I wanted a fun gun for Tracie and the kid(s) to shoot and this will be a perfect fit. The only .22 I have in my collection is a 1940's era Mossberg bolt action, so this will make a great addition to the collection!

Here's my AR style .22. I picked it up earlier this month at Buckeye Outdoors on a spur of the moment buy. It's a Mossberg 715T. I was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews , but I really like it. It shoots consistently without jamming, the magazine takes all 25 rounds & the only real bitch is locating extra magazines. I see today that Bass Pro has them in stock, but they don't ship 'em & I don't see myself driving to Cinncy. I added a folding bipod that serves as a handgrip.

Outdoorsfella,

If you look on the previous page, there's some good sighting info by Riverdude and CJD3...that bipod/forward is nice!
