This is my Stoeger Cougar .40 it is basically identical to a Beretta Cougar and Beretta owns Stoeger so the quality is the same. Different name stamped on it and I saved some $$

international 71 ST. Bad azz little .22, Finally went the the Simons 22. Mag Riflescope on it but CJD get's is dialed in and then it changes. I bouht the cheap .22's, Ameriacna Eagle Federals but Big Bro has the higher quality .22 buy Federal. Going to go buy a couple other brands tomorow to see if it shoots better. One thing to remember when shooting 22's is to do a light cleaning after each brand of ammo. The 22LR has wax lube on it and without doing a light cleaning after each brand you basicly are creating a new wax coating in the barrel when mixing ammo.
After the light cleaning and starting a new brand of bullets shoot a few groups to let the barrel get coated with the new wax coating. Say 15-20 rounds then go for test grouping. I feel you will get better accuracy.

I did have a lot of trouble getting groups but am not sure if its the $35.00 Simons scope or the Mossburg barrel. The platform is built on the popular 702 Plinkster. (Moss'y version of the semi auto 22)

Big Bro got it dialed in very nicely. Was going to go by some other brands of .22's today and for fun was going to look for some tracers that CJD sent me a video of. Think that may be on hold, got a call I may go to Rig for a week to get some hours in while I still wait on my new one. I will post a picture of the target.

Thanks for all your help CJD!

Here is his grouping.

I had to bail on him so I could see my daughter but half way up there that changed.

Cob, if you have not tried this brand of 22's pick up a box, I found these to shoot really well. CCI segmented HP hollow points, 1640 FPS, 32 grain "varmint". Make sure you don't get the cheaper ones, these were $7.00 a box, the cheap ones were half that cost. They have shot the best to date with mine.

I may take some heat for posting it here but in my opinion this is a gun. I am excited about it. The kids are excited. Picked it up used today locally. It was bought last year at Bass Pro by a female that no longer has time to hunt. It will be the perfect introduction to deer hunting for my wife and kids in my opinion.

Horton Ultra Lite with 4x32 scope. Wish it was red dot or just a single crosshair, but you get what you get when buying used. 175lb crossbow with quiver and 3 bolts. 2 have broadheads, one has a field point. It also came with some rope puller cocking device. It does help. Looking forward to getting the kids out shooting it. I might use it once just to say I have killed something with it.
