I like the salt block in the tree. Do you do that to make it last longer as it isn't in contact with the ground?

I'm going to go with Fog as well. I had a couple nights/early mornings where it was almost to foggy for pics and this was on the top of a hill. I could only think a flat field edge or in a bottom on those days would have had more fog like your pics seem to have.
